INTRODUCTION
Public health can be defined as the science to prevent disease and to increase life-cycle of
an individual by overcoming from various health issue. For this manager organised efforts to
improve health communities by educating society about health benefits. The main motive to
make health policy is to improve the work health of individual. Moreover, it helps individual to
complete effective research related with disease. Due to which injuries and diseases will be
reduced in the individual. The present assignment will focuses on health visiting policy that is
managed by local government of organisation. As it is an important issue which is related with
public health and needs of individuals, families and the communities. In this report, issues
related with health policy and individuals health is focused (Gilson, 2016). In the last, issue
related with public health is raised as it is related implement of policies and rules for providing
health benefits to society.
BACKGROUND
Health Visiting Policy is a universal service which render a platform in order to reach
out to the group of people taking into consideration various preferences and eliminating
inequalities in health. The main objectives of the Health Visiting Policy is to enhance standard in
health visiting practices for children, women, families communities, men etc. There are certain
principles related to this policy which are, facilitation of health enhancing activities, identifying
health needs , influence on policies affecting health and stimulation of health needs.
The main purpose of this particular policy is to improve public health for men, women, families,
communities, children is the heart of health visiting practices. In the open market place Health
Visiting Policy is trying to attain centre of excellence in providing high quality health visiting
practices so as to effectively respond to the health of the children, women, families,men etc. and
enabling them to accomplish optimum level of health leading to reduces in health inequalities.
Commissioning of the Healthy Child Programmes transferred from NHS to local authorities
supported that Health Visiting Policy is the best place for check up and it continued to till March
2017. This policy is funded by Public Health Fund stated under Affordable Care Act. In UK the
healthcare funded mainly from general taxation and national insurance contribution.
Health visiting policy relates with the public health that is engages in providing effective
health services in the organisation. This works as a process which is used to recognise the

requirements as well as needs of the organisation. The main motive for this services is to satisfy
customer's needs by using considerable budgets. The commissioning for this cycle is related with
analysing, monitoring, planning and implementing those factors which is used to satisfy needs of
customer's effectively. Further, it builds various planning services relates with public health that
is used to improve the health of individuals.
Heath visiting policy undertakes a large number of workforce that is used to improve the
health by considering various aspects. The main aim for this policy is to provide heath advise,
awareness about issue and medicines which is used to make effective decisions in the context of
human health and wellness. Moreover, theories related with health is supported by skilled team
that improves performance of organisation in future (Mayer, Kenter and Morris, 2015). All the
policies related with health are improved on annual basis as it is the duty of a country to improve
health of their individuals. On the other side, health visitor and the nurses are those persons who
learned special qualification related with health and wellness of individuals.
The main motive of health visitor is to make or develop better health conditions for the
families and young children. Most of the functions are performed by them at the clients convince
place such as their home. On other side, it is also the responsibility of health visitor to transfer or
communicate health advice and education in order to create awareness among individuals about
their health. All the essential action which are related with about the health of people must be
managed as it increases the health of the families and children. It provides services that is based
on evidence and work better for the individual, teams and communities of organisation.
It helps in improving the health and to reduce the inequalities from the society by
offering universal services for all people. On the other side, it is also relates with the targeting of
individuals as per their needs. In simple words, individuals who formulate policy related with
health approach various platform (Miles, 2015). As it helps to gather essential information
related with health of indirectly due to which better policies are developed by management. In
the context of this assignment the main focus of organisation is to target small children and their
families.
Concept for the health visiting policy was introduced by the NHS in the year 1990.
(NHS) National health system works as a healthcare system for the UK with the aim of providing
free medical services and care to public organisation. This results it is for management to deliver
better healthcare for meeting the needs of population.

analyse needs, planning and monitoring better health services for the organisation. As it is related
to get better health outcomes that is related with various activities for organisation. Like public
health and plans are developed to meet with the requirements of population. Thus, by following
or implementing various outcomes related with health assist the management to analyse the
needs of public. Along with this the policy repetition is done on annual basis due to which better
results will be achieved from the organisational performance. On other side, it leads the persons
to encourage the families to perform their work in effective manner. Like the responsibility and
role of health visitor is to promote health education among the society. Along with this it is
related to take actions related with the babies and children (Purtle, Brownson and Proctor, 2017).
With the remove of health inequalities it is essential to complete their work as per their needs
due to which individual health is impacted. A health visitor remove the inequalities to perform
the work as per the needs of individuals is related with health benefits of organisation.
They are involved for analysing various factors which are related with child and to
imitate actions as per the needs of individuals which is used to ensure the families as it target
individuals for achieve high growth and development. Along with this its includes to make
specific visit that is used to ensure better results by visiting different purpose factor for the
children (Rocco, 2017). It also involves various purpose for children, health groups and to
develop network by which management is able to promote better health services in the industry.

Health visitors involves to provide essential support related with families and children.
The impact of health visiting policy relates with all factors which benefits in improving overall
health policy for organisation. Moreover, it is related with family perspective due to which there
is more improvement in gained with the life-style for better improvement in the lifestyles and
cycle for individuals. Moreover, the major issue relates with the policy of health visiting is that
most of the nurses avoid adults and old people as they are related with treatment of young
children only.

On the other side, the major concern related with this policy is that most of the nurses
belongs to female gender. Due to this it is not safe for the children to visit homes of clients as it
belongs to their private place. Moreover, the policy related with individuals is to generate
positive impact on the health of individuals. This policy is also leads the individuals to perform
their work as per the policy which improves public health. There are various perspective related
with screening of individuals related with overall improvement of organisation. This results in
improving the overall health of individuals by which the screening and social development of a
country will be improved. It governs that the main focus of individuals is to promote the health
and welfare of the individuals that is used to improve the children (Stone and Ladi, 2015). On
other side, the focus to promote health and wellness among the population aware the people to
improve their health on daily basis.
Issue in the policy and its impact on public health and staff
Their are various benefits are achieved by the organisation which must be consider by
the nation to promote their health and wellness among all the population of country. Staffing of
professional health relates with visitor issue as there are more benefits will be required through
which better results will be gained such as children with better care are able to grow with the
proper manner. As it is complex to take better care for children due to problem of retaining staff
in the organisation. Due to less permanent staff it is complex to make right decisions for the
health and wellness of individual.
While the another issue which is faced by the individuals is that they are facing difficulty
and challenges in order to collect essential documents from the clients or staff. It governs the
number of immigrants in the UK are high (Tosun, 2017). So it creates the issue for the nurses for
taking proper care of the overall population. This results it is difficult to maintain the record for
organisation on regular basis. The last issue relates with the staff is that majority of the nurses
offer their services to the individual of young age only. So the old age individuals and adults are
overlooked that reduce the rate to solve issue in minimum time. Even so, they are properly
trained but does nor offer better services to overall public.
CONCLUSION
In the last by the above study it is analysed and concluded that policy and politics
performs a major role for ensuring the safety of public health. In order to improve the health of

overall public it is mandatory to coordinate between public and politics. It results the overall
benefits for improving the health of population can be done in proper manner. This policies also
helps the organisation to improve their work performance by assessing the overall needs of
public due to which society are benefited in effective manner. Hence, by focusing on all the
above factor it is easy to protect overall population.
