INTRODUCTION
This report revolves around plan to subdue pollution related risks associated with Calgary
Stampede. The plan reflects on dynamics that helps in identification and elimination of harmful
pollutants in event logistics.

Establishment of objectives
The goals of this plan are developed in accordance to the theoretical dynamics of
SMART approach, which means they are specific, measureable at any point of time, achievable,

relevant and time bound. The goals of this project are as follows:
 To identify and eliminate harmful pollutants in the event logistics.
 To reduce risk of spills and accidents that may cause pollution (Chenzhi, and Mak,
2018).
Developing premises
The development of each plan is based on some premises, which are some assumptions
that are based on data collected over a period of time. The predictions made for Calgary
Stampede were hike in pollutants in event logistics by 70%. And therefore the further steps of
planning process were structured accordingly.
Evaluating and selection of alternatives
In order to implement the plan, the management of Calgary Stampede evaluated every
alternative course of action in order to achieve objectives. For example, discontinuing
functioning with such logistics which do not prioritize sustainability in the operations.
The selected operational course of action was updating event’s logistics terms and
conditions in such a manner, so that their logistics use sustainability in operations, in addition to
that active monitoring will be used in order to keep a check on spills and accidents that may
cause pollution (Venton, 2017)
Formulating derivative plan
Derivative plan was made by Calgary Stampede in order to ensure contingency in
operations. This established the flexibility in operations so that course of action can be modified
in accordance to dynamic needs.
Securing cooperation and participation
In order to successfully initiate the plan, it is essential to secure cooperation and
participation of stakeholders. Calgary Stampede plans on using the principle of motivation to
drive the associated stakeholders towards the ethical values and responsibilities towards
environment (Kitagawa, Nishimaki, and Tanaka, 2018).
Review and follow up
Active monitoring and reviewing approaches will be undertaken by Calgary Stampede
management in order to make sure that all the objectives are being met in fixed time frames. In
addition to that, follow up action is also taken if necessary.

CONCLUSION
On the basis of aforementioned dynamics, it can be concluded that Calgary Stampede’s
plan to identify and eliminate harmful pollutants in the event logistics and to reduce risk of spills
and accidents that may cause pollution will be based on past data. In order to achieve the
objectives, modifications in operational courses of action are being done,
