Good Morning!
We are here to talk about the project “Role of Pop Culture in Social Change” as I feel is of great
importance in real life. My objective is to try and analyze the role of Pop culture in the American
Society. Basically, the aim is to find out how the pop culture has been affected with the advent of
social media over the years. It is essential to discuss about the current pop culture in America
along with the various genres and how the people of the younger generation are affected by this
pop culture. In the project, I will be discussing about the importance of pop culture and the ways
it has affected the lives of the people. You will then have the opportunity to ask all of your
questions and doubts on the presented topic. In this presentation, key theme is pop culture that is
influenced by the use of social media over the years. So, in this regards, it is important to discuss
about pop culture presented in America and how young generation is affected by the pop culture.

Topic
For this essay, I have selected the topic ‘Role of Pop Culture in Social Change’. This topic is
interesting for me as it will provide me the opportunity to do a proper research on how pop
culture is affected by various social media channels over the years. According to me, it is
important to discuss about recent pop culture in America and young generation who are affected
by this culture. Further, I will also be discussing about the significance of pop culture and the
way it has affected people’s lives. So, I will discuss basic objectives of pop culture. Pop music is
famous in America and there are carious pop artists who have greater popularity in the country.
Research
Based on the research, I have observed that the objective of pop music is to convey social story
to the people by the music and songs. Pop music has changed the society by spreading faith and
hope in critical social conditions when people need motivation and hope. In this research, my
focus is to bring out the effectiveness of the social media in promoting the American pop culture
to the society, especially the young generation of people that are the main driving force of social
change for the nation.
Importance

This topic is important to discuss the objective of pop culture. This research is important to
understand the popularity of pop culture in America. Along with this, the research also has
importance in understanding the changes in social media and the ways it impacts our lives.
According to me, it is important to discuss this topic pop culture is represented as something
derogatory by many people in the society, yet the significance and power of pop culture cannot
be overemphasized. Secondly, I will highlight how Bob Dylan’s music influenced civil rights
and anti-Vietnam War movements.
Instance
I would like to share an incidence also to support the research and facts. The example supports
the fact pop culture has affected the lives of people in America i.e. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
that impacted the food safety issues and the creations by Bob Dylan and The Beatles that
personified the human sentiments related to civil rights. There are various social media platforms
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and others. These platforms have made it possible for
pop culture to spread social messages to target audiences in all over the world.
Consequences
Each fact has its pros and cons. With the advantages of social media, I will also focus and
elaborate the negative aspects of social media in promoting pop culture in the country. For
making the research effective and resourceful, it is important to discuss the pros and cons
efficiently related to American Pop Culture. This research will help the readers comprehend the
importance of pop culture on the society and the ways it has been impacted by the presence of
social media.
