The particular experience that had helped me in understanding the importance of the
interpersonal communication skills as well as logical approach occurred while I was an
important part of a project team. Our project team comprised of 5 distinct members. The most
significant goal of our project team was the development of a specific system for railway
reservation with the help of VB or visual basic. We completed this particular system as per
the perception and a proper point of view to access. When we were taking the very first
follow up, it somehow stroked us that there existed a huge gap between the requirements of
our coordinator and our thinking regarding the system. All of these views regarding the
specification of requirements could be different or varied from person to person and it makes
the step of specification of requirements within the SDLC or software development life cycle
extremely vital.
There were several significant negative experiences that had occurred during the
project development. Few of our team members did not agree with our team decision
regarding the overall project development. The most important and noteworthy problem that
we faced was that all of our team members were not communicating each other properly
regarding their opinions or views and hence it was affecting our team production. Therefore,
our team was facing negative results.
For the purposing resolving this particular problem, I provided a specific suggestion.
Discussion was the only way out in this case. Proper discussion with our team members
regarding the removal of negativity helped me in solving this particular problem perfectly.
We discussed the matter and listened to one another’s issues and point of views. This type of
brain storming session eventually helped us in solving in coming to a significant decision. All
of the team members agreed to this decision.
I had learned that regular informal discussions amongst all the project team members
could help in identifying the various internal problems of our team. Hence, this has
subsequently put a specific positive attitude for the perfect development of our project.
If in our team, any type of internal conflict arises in future within our team, I will
notice this particular problem and would inform all others regarding this situation. A proper
brain storming session should be started within an interval of specific period of time; for the
purpose of the disagreement from any one could be easily identified in the early stages and
could be resolved as soon as possible. The next important thing that I would be doing is the
proper understanding of all the requirements of our client in the early stages. Moreover, I will

be maintaining a proper and good inter personal communications skill during the entire
development of our project. This particular skill is extremely important and vital for any type
of project work. Hence, this should be checked by our team properly. With the proper
implementation of this particular inter personal communication skill; I will be able to
complete all the significant issues properly. Furthermore, this type of communication skill is
important for the perfect execution of project without any type of complexity.
The entire experience has eventually taught me all the positive things such as time
management for working under intense stress as well as management of the team. This has
the capability of doing the work within any specific team as well as considering an
importance of the communication or the acknowledgement of all communications. All types
of conflicts within the team were the major negative experiences that I had faced from my
previous project experiences. Hence, this type of negative experience was important for my
growth and development of my inter personal communication skills.
