Learning procedure at GBS helped me to build my communication and leaning skills helping
me to utilise it to present this portfolio reflecting my understanding.
How to use library and electronic resources
At this stage, I learned that how effectively online library and other electronic resources are
used in searching any suitable data resource for learning making the use of books, journals,
articles, and many other sources. Access to these resources and process to learn using most
suitable resource for effective study communication is very easy process.
Planning
A base of all work is planning; an effective planning helps to attain success in the work. In
the module, I learned important steps essential to consider by a planner at the time of
planning any task, any schedule, and any kind of work. Planning includes understanding, goal
clarity and time to complete that task in the given time to manage the productivity of the
work profitable for the planer.
Note taking
This activity is a transferable skill or communication including a manner of summarising the
discussed lectures and other information. In this module I learn outlining the important points
of lectures and highlight the relevant theories or examples to clearly deliver the message
Building a bibliography
A report needs effective support to get authentication of the preformed task, bibliography is
summarisation or collection of all the used resources in a project.

Plagiarism
Similarity index that represent the use of others work as own, I learn ethics to use own
language to write that reduce the chances of plagiarism in my work.
Finding and reviewing sources of information
Access to the library and online articles allows effective and useful research, key points of the
report and question we need to find can help to manage effective finding and review of the
sources information.

Reflection
Reflection writing is kind of work represent own perception about anything that given to
analyse. A reflection is personal analysis of the article or report that need to be analysed
properly and asks to deliver one’s own thinking in favour or against the researched works
with effective resources and support.
Communication skills
Skills to represent ideas in verbal or non-verbal, oral or written from to listeners, to deliver
thought and get the feedback are communication skills. Effective communication skills
include sending of the message decoding it and receiving feedback form the listeners. Active
listening is also essential and use of simple language that easily delivers the message is
important.
Easy and report writing
Essays are written with the determination to prove that the writer completely recognizes the
study inquiry and was talented to response it through investigation.
Reports are written for a definite persistence and spectators in attention. Reports have a
definite purpose and it use the research study and significant resources to support the research
and understanding.
Debating
I learn that debate is a formal discussion over a specific topic, a debate include opposing or
supporting sides. I learn that whether you support or you oppose any topic one need to
perform debate with the help of research and significant resources.

Online
Online debate has effective learning scope as you interact with person how may give you
many skills that can help one to use in the daily communication and learning activities.
Online debate has significant value to allow interacting with intelligent person.
Classroom
Classroom debate is effective as it give confidence to perform and out the points of concern
in from of the colleagues and teachers. I learned the skills of effective tone and expressions to
manage the effective force over the personality.
Presentation skills
Presentation skills are based on effective planning and best material to support the
presentation and effective communication skill to represent the best during the presentation.
Every presentation has unique topic to represent the ideas and research to the world. Effective
understanding about the topic helps to represent the researched project in the audience.
Time management
Time management is seems important to finish and deliver any task. Every task has limited
time and this time needs effective planning of every stage. In this module we learned
challenged and negative impact of the poor time management. In addition, I learn basics of

Effective note taking helps to revise, revision strategy includes effective reading of the notes
and use them to understand the concept.

Challenges of studying and how will you overcome these issues
Learning and study process includes many challenges, these challenges are related to regular
learning study process. These are the opinion of others, fear to be failed, negativity from the
challenges, lank of self-understanding and motivation. To overcome these challenges I used
to learn the motivational strategies and focus to manage the challenges with effective
planning and task managing aspects.
What strategies will you use to help you to overcome these challenges?
 Effective utilisation of the time to acquire knowledge from teachers and colleagues
 Have a positive attitude towards negative and chaining situation
 Avoid wasting time in useless activities.

How will you manage your time and ensure you stay on track?
Time management is essential to manage effective performance in the class and exams. Poor
time management is critical to make the negative image in the class. Any delay to single task

leads delay to other task as well. Hence, I plan my activities according to a schedule and give
time to personal development activities as well like playing and developing to ensure
physical and mental availability in class.
