INTRODUCTION
A portfolio for student is the compilation of the academic work that is considered to be
the form of educational evidence that is assembled for the purpose of evaluating the coursework
quality of learning and determination of the whether learning standards or other academic
requirements are met. In this portfolio the note taking method is discussed for understanding its
effectiveness for the students. In this portfolio the source of information with the help of
examples and has been given. This portfolio also provides definition of plagiarism and methods
in which plagiarism can be effective. This portfolio also highlights the main factors in the
presentation skills.

Note-taking
Note-taking is a practice which it either written or is a practice which helps in the
recording of the information from the different sources and platforms. The students are able to
take notes for the writers which records the essence for the information and also being able to
manage the organization towards the recall for everything Lam (2018). Taking the notes is very
important because the helps the students to be pay attention for focusing on the learning and
development. This is a very effective method for showing active engagement with the topic by
listening and then summarizing the understanding and remembering of the information later.
There are different activities which can be used for note-taking,
 Staying organized is a very effective way of keeping the notes and handouts separate for
each class. This helps in avoiding the notes to get mixed up and be available to read later
on very easily.
 Using visual clues for highlighting the content that can create class notes easy to note in
the handouts.
 Grouping of similar concepts in the material can also help in the memorization of easy
concept for the maintenance of the learning content.
 It is important for making legible notes which are not messy and are easy to understand.

There are two different sources of information in the note-taking method known as
Reliable and non-reliable information,

Reliable Information :
These are those informations which are gathered from sources which are very
dependable. These sources for the students are generally books, peer-reviewed articles,
magazines and newspapers for the article which is established Maharani, Suntoro & Ambarita
(2020). Such informations are very dependable in nature and can provide the learners with
effective performance in their academical career. Reliable sources can be used very effectively
for rephrasing them into academical content which can help the students to develop proper
learning and effectiveness.
Non-Reliable Information :
It is the information which is gathered from poorly designed websites, broken links
article that have non relevant errors in the spelling. It can also be considered as the information
which have no reliability towards their content. These informations are generally not credible
enough to be referred for by the students. Some examples of non-reliable information are related
to the websites and blogs which are the news that are based on the opinion. It can be said as the
articles which are ordinary people for learning and meant for the medical advice for the
otherwise identical for the reliability of the sources.
Referencing and paraphrasing
Referencing is the method which helps the students in acknowledging original source for
referencing the acknowledging of the source. Referencing is very important for acknowledging
the actual source of information for the own body of work of the students. In the referencing
method the citations are also involved which helps the student in linking the work which is cited
for the reference list or in the bibliography section Mohamadi (2018). It is useful for the student
to use referencing such that the writers of the Reliable source can be provided with credit and
also ensure the tutor about the relevancy of the information.
Paraphrasing is the best practice which is a tool that is used for rephrasing the original
content for changing through changing a structure for the sentence and replacing of the
organization. It is a very useful tool which is used for showing the understanding of the source
which is referred at the first place for the paraphrasing of the powerful alternative of using direct
quotes which can be used frequently. It plays a conveying meaning of the original meaning to the
message for the establishment of the understanding of the enough restating through giving
readers an accurate understanding of author's position.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the presentation of someone else's work or ideas as your own with or
without the consent of that person. It is an incorporation of the work without the full
acknowledgement of the published and unpublished material for manuscript the printed or
electronic form which is covered for defining the definition Utama, Sumardi & Supriyadi (2021).
This is not an illegal process however plagiarism shows unacceptable work as the student uses
someone else's work and shows it as their own. It can be said as the work that is considered to be
acceptable in the nature. It is important for the student to understand that plagiarism is a wrong
practice because it helps them to acknowledge the importance of dependency of the work of
another person's idea or words for distinguishing between the clear work that is helpful for the
sources.
Presentation skills
It can be defined as the skills which are the set of abilities that enable the individual in the
interaction with the audience that transmits the messages with the clarity towards the
engagement and presentation of the audience. In the presentation the individuals are able to
understand the listeners and also be able to understand the presentation of the information with
good skills. The presentation skills of the informative can be understood by the keeping the
informative presentation of the brief and also the point-to-point development of the brief
presentation. It can be said as the instructional presentation for giving specific directions or
orders Types of Presentations (2021). The arousing technique which makes the people develop
an understanding of the problems and situation that is helpful for understanding. Persuasive
technique is also very useful for the implementation of the organizational operations.
