From the above rationale it can be concluded that with the help of all these 12 documents
has helped me in learning the academics and improving the performance and also lead toward
developing the professional with the personal enhancement. By including the reflective writing
and reflective practice has helped in developing the academic skills, helps in developing the
perspective with own experience, further help in reviewing the progress and the reflective
practice help in examining the complexities of the life. Also, increases the self awareness and the
active engagement is also being enhanced by this. With the good presentation skills and critical
thinking has mainly helped in increasing and boosting the memory in learning various skills
generating new and creative ideas, building quite interesting slides of the available content.
Apart from this good and effective communication skills also aids in academic part with
effective learning and communicating with others, keeping records and effective time
management which helps in targeting audience focusing on key messages. Whereas critical
thinking assist in investigation of different facts ideas and theories required.
Apart from this it has also helped in problem solving. The Critical reading and note
taking strategies was very impactful as with the use of critical reading increasing and developing
better understanding, improved concentration and also aids in advancing, understanding,
reasoning and evaluation of any problem. While with the help of note taking and embedding in
itself will improve my focus and attention towards any given topic. Not just that it also may tend
to provide assistance in improved learning, enhancing listening and summarizing with proper
understanding. From the above rationale I have also got to learn several things from Lecture 1 &
2 as the lecture helps me in learning about referencing and the information taken is valid, this
also aids in lending the creditability for work being done. While from lecture 2, I have got to
know about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats under communication and it may
have assisted me in knowing strategies like scanning, skimming, intensive and extensive.
Apart from that it also assist me in assignment planning about introduction, body and
conclusion. While I have learned from lecture 7 that, in learning the information about data,
individual facts and statistics. It has also helped me in measuring of data accurately with using
methods like correlation, quantitative data surveys, observation and secondary data. Lastly, I
have learned about formality and how it helped me in learning about less formal and more formal
essays. Where formal essay is done in 1st form with concerning about 'I' and active voice and

under formal writing may uses he/she/they/ or any 3rd form of speech with the utilization of
passive voice.
Detail about each of the 12 documents
1. Introduction to research:Research is the process of analysis, collecting and
interpreting the information about something is unknown to the human beings.
Research helps an individual in exploring, explaining, evaluating and changing
something. It is categorized as scientific approach which is based on the logical
and helps in examination of the facts with evidences used in the physical and
natural sciences and the social research has helped in dealing with the people
social behaviour. Basically research are of four types descriptive (determine the
variables, used to test the hypotheses), explanatory(explains the patterns and
trends), evaluative (helps in determining the desired goal is achieved or not),
emancipatory(creates the practical and tangible benefits for the study). Moreover,
Research model is the physical representation which simplifies the complex idea,
whereas the paradigm is the set of concepts, theories and methods which helps
view the reality.
2. Reflective writing:Reflective writing is the practice which guides and describes
the real, imagination event and adding the personal thought on its meaning. It is
the useful process which helps in learning from own experiences. For the
academic reflective writing it involves the critical and analytical thought.
Reflective writing has helped me in developing the academic skills, in
understanding the topic better and enable the progress of reviewing. By
understanding Gibs reflective cycle helped in identifying the strengths, the areas
of development also the actions must be considered to enhance the professional
skills. This writing starts with describing the area, feelings are descriptive,
evaluating the positive and negative aspects of experience, analysing and
identifying factors affecting the process, lastly concluding the result also creating
the action plan (Kusumah and Novita, 2019). Reflective writing helps in
developing the perspective, demonstrating with literature, clearing out the
situation, further linking the experience with the readings and lastly helps in
writing with the appropriate style.

3. Reflective practice: Reflective practice helps in understanding and identifying
what an individual need to know in order to advance the understanding of the
subject. Reflective practice have helped me in guiding and examining the choices
for further learning and complexities of life. The reflective learning can be
encouraged in an individual by studying the time schedule, using journal, realistic
assessment which gives strength (Aryadoust, 2017). Moreover, Reflective
practice helps in becoming the reflective learner by establishing the objective,
recognizing the current performance level, plans for meeting the targets, time
management, feedback, support and monitoring with reviewing the progress. This
practice has further helped in increasing self awareness and encouraging in active
engagement in the work progress.
4. Learning style :Learning style has helped me in learning with the style, it also
increases the awareness of the style by providing the strategies to learning. This
style helped in assisting the ability to adapt the situations, also helps in improving
performance in the academics. There are mainly three learner, visual learners
learn by sight, auditory learners learn by hearing, tactile learners learn by touch.
By learning the appropriate styles had helped in learning and determining the
strength, weaknesses and further promoting in concentrating more on the studies
(Miskam and Saidalvi, 2019). By reviewing the various study tips which helps in
improving the performance and helped in learning mainly includes the verbal tips,
logical tips, bodily tips, musical study tips all of these tips have helped in learning
better and improving the performance in academics.
5. Good presentation skills : Good presentation skills requires preparing the
material which mainly involves the researching, time, equipment used.
Structuring the content has helped the understanding of how to start and end the
process, remembering the important information regarding using the bullet point,
scripting and using the knowledge being required in the presentation, by
visualizing the content helps in understanding the information with proper
concentration also helps in boosting the memory and also requires arranging the
resources and communicating, so the presentation skills helps in creating the
innovative idea and builds the interesting slides of the content (Monteiro and

et.al., 2020). The good presentation skills helped me In academics in learning and
communicating the better in all the areas, also helps in managing the time and
targeting the audience by focusing on key messages.
6. Critical thinking :Critical thinking is judgemental in nature which helps in
managing the information , also identifies the opinions and assess in evaluating
the arguments. By adopting critical thinking it has helped me in investigating the
facts, ideas and theories also assist in giving the balanced account for pros and
cons which gives clear and confident information for accepting what is being said.
Further more, critical thinking opts for rigid position than creative thinking. By
thinking creative it involves looking and seeking something new, thinking beyond
the box, helps in giving the clear and precise information and evidence about the
arguments (Styers and et.al., 2018)Critical thinking has developed the ability for
solving the problems in the right way in more efficient and methodological sense.
It majorly helped in expressing the thoughts, ideas and belief.
7. Critical reading: Critical reading is the process and the active approach of
reading ,which mainly involves in depth examination of the text. In academic
sense it helps in advancing, understanding, reasoning and evaluating an argument
and problem. By using the various techniques of critical reading it involves
previewing, writing, critical reading, summarizing, forming response has helped
me in figuring out the meaning behind the piece of writing. By reading critically
with the journal helps in responding critically about the articles by tracking them,
also the surface learning helps in recalling the facts and the information and
considering the notes. Moreover, critical reading has helped in becoming better
and more intelligent reader by concentrating properly on the facts and
understanding the facts at deeper level (Mahdavirad and Mokhtari, 2019). It
majorly contributed in recalling and engaging itself in process.
8. Note taking strategies: Note Taking strategies are the primary method of note
taking in the academics. These strategies have helped in improving the focus and
attention in the details. There are various challenged being faced by taking the
notes which mainly includes how to organizing notes, concentrating problems,
summarizing problem. But these challenges can be solved with the strategies and

These strategies promote the active learning, increases the creativity, and boots
the retention. Strategy have helped me in reviewing and reorganizing the note.
Notes can be organized by modification, reviewing material, separating ideas,
formatting correct way. There are various styles and technology are Microsoft one
note, eve note, sonocent, outline form, Cornell style (Dumitru , 2019). These
strategies help in learning better, promotes active involvement in the academics
and summarizing helps in understanding and remembering the information later.
9. Lecture 1: By reviewing lecture 1, it has showed the importance of referencing
which is mainly used to tell the reader that the information taken is valid and also
tells about the sources from where the information is taken in an assignment. It is
mainly used to acknowledge the ideas and the information. References are done at
the end of the work and systematically referencing throughout the paragraph
using the citing where the another person ideas is being used. References are done
to avoid the plagiarism, these are done to give the credit to the author, references
helped me in finding the original source and also helps in demonstrating the
knowledge. The citation in referencing is done with the first the surname
/organization, then year, page number, then “......” around the quote, in
paraphrasing the citation will be surname / organization, year (Surdyanto and
Kurniawaz, 2020). The Harvard style uses references in two places in the text and
reference list at the end.
10. Lecture 7: Lecture 7, has helped in learning the information about data, data
mainly includes the individual facts, statistics. Data are of two types qualitative
and quantitative, the quantitative also be termed as empirical research, in this the
research is taken place for measuring data accurately by various methods using
descriptive, correlation, cause and comparative, experimental. This data deals
with the quantities, values numbers and making it measurable. It has been learned
that the Common sources of quantitative data are surveys, observations,
secondary data. Further more, the quantitative data can be analysed in the
descriptive and inferential statistics. The qualitative data are non-numerical which

which mainly starts with the introduction, main body, conclusion. Moreover, by
using the paragraphs will help in supporting the information, and reasoning the
positioning of the content and lastly summarizing the assignment which helps in
reviewing the evaluations, further overview the understanding.
12. Formality in writing: Formal writing is mainly used for the businesses , legal,
and academic professional purpose. In this writing the linking words are used.
Formality in writing has helped in learning about the less formal and more formal
essay. In the less formal essay the 1st person is used with the active voice
concerning “i”. Moreover, different types of the sentences and verbs are used for
linking the ideas (Kondo and et.al., 2021). In less formal writing the more use of
sentences and verbs instead nouns. On the other hand in more formal writing will
use he/she/it /they. Also, the passive voice and the indirect questions is being used
in more formal and The complex sentences and the nouns are mainly used rather
than simple sentences.
