Introduction
Communication having a great significant in the growth and development of each and every
business organization. There are various stakeholders which required to communication in an
effective manner such as customers, employees, investors, suppliers, government etc. Managing
communication is a systematic process which used to plan, design, implement and monitor in the
overall communication process within the business organization (Coombs, 2014). Apart from that
there are various functional department which require updated information in order to make various
decision effectively. There are various tools and techniques which can be used by the business
organization in order to maintain their relation in the long run. The present report is based on the
Posh Nosh Ltd which is one of the small business organization and operate their business in the
United Kingdom. They provide a high quality food to their customers which can help to enhanced
their customer loyalty and increase profitability of the company. So that they can attain their long
term goals and objectives in an effective manner (Griffin and Moorhead, 2011).
Task 1
1.1 Discuss the range of decisions to be taken
It is essential for a business unit is to make various decision which can help to provide competitive
advantage in the market. There are various decisions specially for a startup business. For a small
and medium enterprises, they required that to make their decision such as planning, organizing,
staffing, controlling activities. In the context of Posh Nosh Limited they required to make following
decisions as given bellow:
Strategic decision: These decision having a large impact on the future direction of the business.
These decisions are made by the higher authorities which is related with the designing and
developing new strategies. Apart from that they also want to expand their business which is too
significant for the consistent growth and development of the business. they communicate their
decisions to the line and department manager which can make tactics and arrange resources in order
to implement these decisions (Lee, 2010).
Tactical decisions: This is another types of decision which are made by the middle level managers
who are responsible for designing and development middle level tactics for the strategic decisions,
allocating resources and make their decision in order to attain their long term goals and objectives
in an effective manner. This is role of the manager is to communicate their decisions with the lower
level.

Such decisions are make by the line manager so that they can implement their overall decisions in

In every business organisation it is essential that managers get knowledge and information towrds
acheving goals and objectives. Managers of Posh Nosh, collect all the essentail tools that are able to
provide effective information reagrding decision making process of the company. Due to the
complexity of business maangers needs information and data in orde to take long terms decisions. It
plays an important role in suucess of every busienss organisation. The higher authorities are
required various information in order to make various critical decision-making which are related
with the the future growth of the company. For example, the cited business unit are required that to
expand their business for this they need the capacity and capabilities of their busisness so that they
can make their decision accordingly. On the other hand there are various information which are
required to the differenet functional department such as finance, marketing, HR etc. (Reda, 2013).
1.3 Assess internal and external sources of information and understanding
The main purpose of any organisation is to make an effective and powerful decision for business
growth and profit. The business uses some internal and external sources of information for effective
decision making. Posh Nosh limited is a food company they can use this resources for expending
their business.
Internal sources : The decision making process is totally based on top level management of the
organisation. The manager can collect the information from the different department in which
production, finance, marketing and human resource are included. For expand the business the
decision making process should be effective in nature for establishing business in other country the
manager need to collect the information on the basis of balance sheet, cash flow statement, sales
report. Posh Nosh limited can use evaluation method to identify their strength, weakness,
opportunity and threats. So the manager can evaluate the strength of the organisation and employee

1.4Justify recommendations for improvement
All organisations are more focus on well performance of the organisation in the country the Posh
Nosh have to improve their information and system of knowledge so that they can perform well in
the market place of the country (Sayah, 2013). The manager of the firm can arrange or conduct an
information audit this audit is helpful in identifying the required information and data that is
efficient to make an effective decision making. For accomplishing the objective and target of an
enterprises the manager can conduct the knowledge audit and the resource can be examined by the
manager. By the use of information audit and knowledge audit the manager of the firm can improve
their information and knowledge system. The Posh Nosh limited give the chance to their employees
or workers for taking a active part in decision making process by this the manager can get the ideas,
and information from their worker so their satisfaction level can be increased. Workers can give
then support of the organisation in decision making process for make an effective decision. The
Posh Nosh limited adopt some modern technologies and store all the information about the firm in
the data base. Through this the firm can keep their data from the unlicensed users who can use the

organisation there are following stakeholders are given below:
Employees: Human resource are the valuable asset for the company, it can help to contribute in
order to achieve organisational goals and objectives. Therefore, it is the responsibilities of the
business unit is to provide training and development which can help to improve performance and
productivity in an effective manner. They also required that to use various tools and techniques
which can participate in to the decision-making process. For example, Posh Nosh Limited can use
open door policy which can help to increase their confidence level.
Suppliers: These are also important for the business unit which can provide materials and finance in
order to operate their business smoothly. In the context of the cited company they required to
provide relevant information and also involved in the various decision making. For example, they
can communicate with them and make sure that to maintain the product quality which can help to
increase customer loyalty (Lovejoy, Waters and Saxton, 2012).

Organisation mostly focused on to satisfy their stakeholders and try to maintain a better relationship
with them. It is helpful in improving the performance of the firm. The major responsibilities of the
manager is to improve and develop the relationship with their internal and external stakeholders.

relationship with the others companies and other country's. Some major strategies and techniques
can be followed by the manager of the industry :

product. For this they can attract the large number of customers towards their product and service
