Health and social care is the unit where people serve to others for satisfaction. There is
important role of person to perform things in best way. It is important that company has to make
policies in such a way consumer get best services. NHS is a UK based health care home which is
discussed in this report (Bose and Gijselaers, 2013). There must be positive behaviour of
personnel working so that they can achieve targets efficiently. As there are many employees so
there is diversification in nature as well so manager has to analyse it and motivate them to
perform well. In this report there are description of various laws, strategies to promote positive
behaviour at work place.
LO 1
P1 Laws related to restrictive interventions in health and social care
Health and social care works for specific reason and they are registered under some rules
and regulations. There is important to follow rules framed under related act. This will help to set
code of conduct by organisation and employees also feel secured (Chaput and et. al., 2011). COMMON LAW: This law states that health and social care has some target which has to
be achieved. It is important that employees must be aware about reasons behind setting
that organisation. This will help to increase faith of consumer, manager has to give
emphasis on working style. It should be in such a way that it provide utmost satisfaction
to customer. HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 1974: These organisations are non profit and there main
aim is to serve society. According to this law, it is important to provide safe environment
for customer. Hence it is responsibility of employees to maintain good environment for
customer. In case of any discrepancy customer can file petition.
MENTAL CAPACITY ACT 2005: People with mental disorder are not able to perform
their task efficiently. It is difficult for them to take decisions related to themselves. So
this act is framed for their safety.
