6.2 Critically evaluate different approaches to supportive positive behaviour
There are different types of approaches that can be effectively undertaken by each and
every practitioner to efficiently support positive behaviour in best effective manner and further
undertake different measures to effectively encourage this. It is essential to effective
understanding of all the approaches in well defined manner (Fredrick, Mancini and Luebbe,
2019). In addition with this, all these approaches have certain form of negative and positive
factors which is required to be identified as to accomplish operations in best effective manner.
The small children between the age of 1 to 4 face domestic violence in the societies which
directly effecting their health and growth. Mentioned below there are some certain form of
approaches that support and develops positive behaviour in well defined manner:
Behavioural Approach: This approach is also termed as psychological approach which mainly
focuses on the ideas. It believes in two principles that is learning comes through repetition or
learning takes place by copying behaviour of others.
Providing an Alternatives : This approach is utilized by people in order to reduce the mental
stress of children's. It is the way of providing something that is apart fro usual things or different
from children's daily routine.
Positives : Motivating, Setting out of expectations and ensures task is completed in well
defined manner, Avert confrontations.
Negatives : May lead towards causing more work in relation with offering the
alternatives.
Tactical ignoring of negative behaviour : The person have the ability to remove out people from
negativity, this approach helps children's to live in positive environment and did not focus on
negative things.
Positives : Children learn they only gain attention for the positive form of behaviour.
Negatives : It only work if negative behaviour arise because of attention desire.
Distraction and Diversification : In order to turns people towards positivity, the solution is to
diversify thir minds or distract them towards other things. Children's of society get distracted
when they see children's of their age fight with domestic violence.
Positives : Offer a formative way to demonstrate positive form of behaviour and further
ensure child receive praise as well as rewards. Also, it distracts children mind off to the negative
form of behaviour.
