The Positive Leader
For being a positive leader, there is a need to understand different types of leadership
style. The transformational leaders approach persuades the followers by using their vision
and feeling. But the transformational leadership mostly overlaps with the authentic
leadership. The authentic leadership is built around morals and has a main goal of building
honest followers. The ethical leadership involves interpersonal and personal actions that are
conducted with appropriate behavior, to build positive relationships amongst people. In the
current working environment these different leadership are not that effective. According to
Kenton, servant leadership can be explained as the leadership philosophy the main aim is to
achieve authority over the employee with regular interaction. In this type of relationship,
there is no space for power. This is different from any traditional leadership, as the main goal
of the leader is to serve, with this approach of serving employee engagement can be increased
in the organization (De Clercq et al., 2014).
