Introduction
The purpose of this report is to demonstrate the use of the positive leadership skills within the
business organizations. The main purpose is to convince the management of the organization
and act in way that can improve the employee performance in a new manner (Schoemaker,
Krupp and Howland 2013). The leadership skills also improve the engagement of the
employees as well.
Use of the positive leadership skills
The positive leadership skills for the improvement of the employee performance is much
needed since it is the leaders who represent the organization and employees can only provide
their best performance if they are motivated enough. The leadership skills that are needed in
this context are:-
Communication
Communication is one of the most crucial factors for the success of the organization and
motivating the employees through knowing their several issues. The proper communication
should always be there between the employees and the leaders since leaders can only
communicate with them positively (Schoemaker, Krupp and Howland 2013). The leaders
should always listen to the problems of the employees and the clarity between the two sides
should always be present. The leaders should be capable enough in the case of public
speaking. There should be no ambiguity in the messages that are forwarded to the employees
as well (Dinkmeyer and Eckstein 2015). The proper correspondence between the leaders and
the other stakeholders is a must to convince the Director that the process is going fine.
Motivation
Another very crucial factor in convincing the Board of Directors is to motivate the employees
to achieve their targets and perform at their very best. The leaders should be able to provide
the workers with that extra urge to drive them for higher success in terms of the competitive
business environment (Northouse 2014). The leaders should always be open to the concerns
of the employees and stand by their side when they face any serious problems. The leaders
should encourage the aspect of productivity among the employees. They can also tell the

Board of Directors that they always provide the challenging work to the employees to
increase their skills and capabilities. The leaders should also work as the mentors for the
employees with different sorts of capacities (Chuang 2013).
Trustworthiness
The next and very significant tool for the positive leadership skills would be trustworthiness
among the leaders. They should always present themselves in a way that the employees
should have an utter trust among them (Northouse 2014). It is only then the employees will
have the confidence to work better. The leaders must work according to the business ethics
and be credible to the employees working under their supervision. The honesty and integrity
are two most important features for the success of the organization through their positive
initiatives (Chuang 2013).
Conclusion
On a concluding note it should be mentioned that the components positive leaders should be
present in the organizational leaders since the business environment is much competitive. The
employees should be at the top of their morale and perform at their very best if the leaders
work very effectively.
