1EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDIES
Part One:
Some significant elements have drawn my attention towards Block two, and
especially some photographs have been attached to it, which have certain aspects related to
children learning environment. In part one, I have taken references from the three chapters in
Block two, chapters 13, 14 and 15 respectively. Thus, it has helped me to gain more
understanding and knowledge of the desired subject. Numerous pictures describe various
aspects in the chapters, and that created an inspiration within me and have managed to
construct a picture of some critical importance. Children should learn their studies but they
are required to learn through playful activities. It will teach them sharing, caring, and fun at
the same time. Therefore, worldly activities, primarily through playful manner, will enhance
their individual learning skills. Therefore, let us consider my chosen picture, through which I
tried to provide relevant information on the learning materials, natural resources and toys.
In the below picture, children will be able to choose among such learning materials
and can engage themselves in the indoor environment (Figure no. 1). It will help them to
learn about various activities and will help them to understand all the necessities that can help
develop their knowledge and sports activities. In this way, they can enhance their
imagination, ideas and thoughts. I have chosen this picture to describe and discuss the correct
indoor environment and educators need to focus on some critical details such as no sharp
objects, necessary learning materials, colorful toys, alphabets and so on. Artifacts and toys
encourage the children to engage themselves in playful activities as well as to learn about
color combinations and different objects. Children are required to feel comfortable in their
learning atmosphere (Parry and McLachlan 2020). It will help in developing a cultural
background. In this way, it benefited me to construct my own picture and contributed to me

build my ideas and thoughts appropriately. Children can easily find their favorite objects and
educators will be able to guide through various activities.
Figure no. 1:- The Indoor environment: Shapes, Space, and Measure.
There has been a significant difference that helped me to separate my ideas with my
other peer group. The picture named Baby room learning environment (Annie) has drawn
more attention to occupying more objects and has given no attention towards engaging a
spacious room for the children. In the next picture, named as Learning Environment (Bella)
has provided enough space but lacked in engaging the children with more colorful objects,
toys, artifacts, more animated pictures and so on. A decorative room filled with toys will
allow them to stimulate more ideas and thoughts in their individual learning processes. Yet in
another picture named Homecorner (Jesie), the image displays the most popular spot for
learning environment space in an individual’s home. The picture has shown various aspects
such as natural materials and some cleaning stuff so that they can achieve knowledge about
the materials regularly found in their house. It has been showcased as the favorite place of the

kids, who always tends to play in this area. Thus, space is quite less compared to other
pictures and may require a larger area to engage them in any playful activities. There have
been fewer toys available in the picture, just fruits and household stuff have been shown in
the picture.
Therefore, as per my research is concerned, all the pictures were highly focused on
the activities in which children could utilize their time and acquire their knowledge from the
processes of learning activities. These three pictures have been created a significant
difference with my picture. They have showcased the learning environment is required to be
more spacious for all the children and the settings should consist of more natural materials. It
will help them to learn various activities more quickly with available physical space. It will
benefit them in order to stimulate the extraordinary talents that will help them to flourish their
individual knowledge. Children do need available resources in their learning environment and
it will benefit them in increasing their positivity towards activities and learning new things
related to study materials. Hence in the first picture, the Baby room learning environment
(Annie) lacks enough room for the children but the toys and materials have been provided. In
the second picture, Learning Environment (Bella) lack of colourful objects and toys have
been provided quite less compared to the first picture. In fact, in the last picture,
Homecorner (Jesie), has been a good example to show the children along with the educators
that space is the vital factor in the learning environment. Yet, no matter how much natural
materials have been acquainted, the need for more space for those active children is required
every time. Therefore, my picture is a successful attempt to raise the children adequately
along with proper learning materials.

Part Two:
Introduction:
The research will be focused on the key elements that will help to support and create a
positive learning environment for the children during their early childhood days. Therefore,
for all the educators, parents along with readers, it is necessary to understand and gather their
basic knowledge on the positive learning environment. Three essential elements are
successful enough to guide the positive learning environment, including support learning
culture, collaboration and connectedness along with incorporating interactive activities and
games. Specific challenges, as well as benefits, will be discussed in order to achieve
appropriate success in providing children’s well-being and inclusion. Chapter 13th and 15th
will be incorporated so that the elements can be understood properly, and the desired
consequences can be drawn upon such activities.
Discussion:
The positive learning environment is referred to as producing safe, supportive, caring,
challenging and academically ideal in order to benefit the students in every possible manner.
In this way, they can obtain proper learning skills and positivity by belonging to such an
environment. A suitable teacher will provide practical ways to support their individual
students by promoting well-organized, secure, and orderly managed environment for
conducting learning processes and will help in encouraging respect for all the individuals.
There are three significant elements that are responsible for the course of producing a positive
learning environment, such as:
Support learning culture: Culture has been an influential factor as it will help to
encourage all the little children to introduce their individual cultural background with other
children. There were apparent differences that were highlighted during the process of

implementing the learning approaches. Therefore, the focus should be emphasized on
different factors such as social, cultural, peer group, place and race factors. In this way, the
students will incur a better understanding of gaining their basic knowledge, values and
respect for the diverse range of cultural backgrounds. All types of schools are needed to
promote a set of cultures so that students of one cultural background can understand the
worth of another cultural background by studying in the same classroom. Educators should
definitely take an interest in the learning processes effectively and should not consider racial
and ethnic aspects or experiences. In chapter 15th in page number 166, the photograph named
Everyone welcome: an inclusive culture’ certain cultural elements have been introduced
where it can be seen a Muslim woman along with other caste people are present, and the
children have collaborated together in order to make them understand the real worth of values
and respect for other religion and culture.
Cultural tendencies will influence children in order to participate in their education
system. In this way, children need to be engaged with the learning processes effectively, and
teachers should encourage them to score well in their academic abilities. They should not
focus on the racial as well as stereotype experiences and should motivate the students to feel
positive about their cultural background. Children should understand each other’s cultural
background, beliefs and behavior so that they do not underestimate others. Educators should
help the students to develop their individual academic goals, and they should respect each
other irrespective of their caste and color. Therefore, it will help the students to enhance their
roots about culture and customs and will benefit them to build up their individual self-
confidence and adequate skills. These two main factors will develop and expand one’s
awareness, appreciation, along with achievements in the field of the academic scorecard.
Collaboration and connectedness: Collaboration is always attached to
connectedness as it will promote teamwork among the students, and they will understand the

processes adequately and comprehend the aspects appropriately. Therefore, collaborative
learning has been recognized in block two and has shown engagement with a diverse range of
methods and environmental elements. In this way, they need to work with all the other
children to progress in a common task. Children will be divided into small groups, where
they will gather an understanding of knowledge and peer groups. In this way, they will
understand the meaning of friendship, teamwork, sharing and doing one’s own work.
In chapter 15th, the second picture named ‘participation, collaboration and inclusion
has shown a fantastic image where children are cooperating and collaborating with their peer
group and playing together by utilizing the learning processes and activities (Jones and Drury
2020). Colorful pictures and favorite toys will definitely boost up as well as encourage
children to engage themselves in engaging themselves in various activities. They will obtain
knowledge about different colors, objects, fundamental values of collaborating and
cooperating with other individuals in order to deliver the learning processes. Thus, the
procedures were different, but there was only one motive and that was the participation of
children in those activities and to encourage them in the learning processes. Natural
resources, different kinds of toys, and decorations definitely attracted my attention, and
appreciating the positive ways helps in dealing with the children by gathering other children
whether they belong to different racial groups, cultures or born with a disability. In this way,
involvement, participation, bonding, learning activities and environment helped the readers to
gain a better understanding. It will be taught to utilize natural objects and toys so that they
can manage their individual students by providing them with adequate resources. The
pictures in part one were chosen so that the readers can understand the different aspects while
gathering ideas, thoughts and creativity and can gain more knowledge about the desired
surroundings so that children do not hesitate to attend their classes. The photographs have
been generating positive views about the settings, coordination and peer group that will help

the children in the long run. Yet, it has been felt that more emphasis should be given in the
environmental factors in which they may include plants and may introduce the nature and
different kinds of crafting materials. They may engage them in the outdoor setting where they
will be able to enjoy greenery as well as will obtain knowledge about the desired subjects.
Interactive activities and games: Teachers should focus on the significant aspects
like making them learn by utilizing a diverse range of toys like alphabetical objects, fixing a
toy-train, puzzles, and crosswords and so on. In part one, pictures like ‘welcome to the
nursery,’ in chapter 13, have shown a child attaching the toy train equipment and it is also a
process of learning through playful activities. Researches have constituted that children can
learn more quickly and adequately through games and activities because they are quite small
to collaborate with difficult tasks by memorizing the words, letters or numbers. Children will
try to focus more and be more attentive towards their activities as it will be conducted
through playful activities. There is another purpose to promote educational games and they
will love staying in their respective classes. Learning activities should include some activities
related to dancing and singing in order to stimulate and develop their individual thoughts and
ideas appropriately. Some natural materials and resources should be used so that educators
can promote greenery and the importance of sustaining natural resources in the world through
practical tasks.
In chapter 13th chapter on page number 114, the image has been a splendid example
for illustrating the outdoor environment by coordinating and playing with their new peer
group. Their educators were also engaged in their respective activities at their individual
schools. The name of the photograph is ‘let’s drive the lorry: children making creative
connections in their outdoor environment,’ which explained about the bonding with the
children and with their gaming activities that seemed quite exciting and fun-loving (Parry and
McLachlan 2020). Children should focus on their studies as well as engage with their

individual friend’s group. It will help them to learn sharing, caring, and fun simultaneously.
Therefore, interactive sessions, primarily through playful manner, will develop and stimulate
their knowledge and learning skills.
Some critical challenges may generate a drawback while providing a positive learning
environment such as poor teaching quality, lack of attentiveness from the teachers,
uncomfortable classroom atmosphere, inappropriate sounds, and insufficient furniture, and so
on. Therefore, students should require a responsible educator with sufficient facilities so that
they can obtain adequate knowledge from their desired environments.
Some essential benefits help in developing one’s enthusiasm in their individual work
and activities. They will be able to secure better academic scores and will be able to enjoy
themselves at the same time. They will have another family, where they will be able to gain
help and support in their learning activities.
Conclusion:
Therefore, it is highly useful to produce and develop a safe and secure learning
environment for all the students as well as providing a healthy environment to incur
appropriate study materials. The students need to feel free and active while learning their
desired subjects so that they gather self-confidence and a positive image. It will help them to
overcome some barriers that may benefit from their educational and personal development.
