Ans: In the article provided to the readers, the author has discussed about the importance of
positive psychology. The author in this article talks about the reason why positive psychology is
considered to be important and how the positive psychology would be helpful in the life of the
individuals in the society itself. The author’s argument is also backed up with the presence of
evidence proving the authenticity of the argument (Seligman et. all, 2014).
Question – 2
Ans: The author has backed up his argument by presenting the statements of Dr. Martin
Seligman who had stated the fact that psychology intends to understand the human strengths
in order to complement on the emphasizing healing the damage done to the individuals
themselves. I would accept the claims because I feel that the author has accurately managed to
present the importance of psychology in human life (Seligman et. all, 2014).

Ans: I like and agree with the argument which the author put in this article itself. This is because
I believe psychology can really help the humans in properly understanding various things about
themselves. In my own life, I feel that the usefulness of positive psychology is needed because

matter. When comparing the topic of positive psychology with another related topic of the
same subject, I found another article on the subject matter of positive psychology, tiled “What
(and Why) is Positive Psychology” written by Shelly.L. Gable and Jonathan Haidt. The article
talks about the importance of the positive psychology and how it helps the humans in their
everyday lives (Gable et. All, 2005).
I feel that the article is related to my life because it is with the positive psychology6 that
helps me to complete my day to day tasks easily without facing any difficulties. Hence, I can say
that this article on positive psychology is related to my life.
