According to me business is the action of action of buying and selling of goods and
services to earn profit and revenue. To maintain a positive business environment in an
origination, one must have a clear understanding of various economic principles and business
ethics. Economic principles are the rules, guidelines and regulations based on which a business
or trade is carried out. I always aspired to build my career in a professional line which will give e
an opportunity to develop to take up business and understand the economic and business
principles more clearly. For long, I have been preparing myself to get into the post graduate
course at Torrens University. I was determined and focused to cross this first step towards my
success since Torrens University is one of the top universities in Australia. The idea of
enhancing y knowledge of management and building my career in a professional line made me
choose this course. What motivated me was my zeal to learn more about professional courses.
I gained past experiences in such type of professional courses during my graduation. It
was during graduate that I realized my interest in such courses. I decided to get myself enrolled
in the professional course since it would provide me a huge learning opportunity about various
aspects of business, business environment, business principles and the techniques of doing
business. During my graduation, I got a lot practice knowledge which created the sense of
interest within me to make my career in this line. My past experiences have been working in
various internships through which I have been able to learn important lessons in working
according to business environments. During my previous course, I gained hand on experience in
this area which would further help me in my post graduation course from Torrens University.
Professional courses help people in developing their overall career since it imparts a full
knowledge of business which is very crucial for further career development [4].
As a student, I am very clear about my goals and objectives in life. Therefore I have set
my goals and have planned my future course of action in achieving success in my career. For
gaining success in life, setting a proper goal is the most important thing since all the consecutive
actions will be based on the goals and objectives [3]. Therefore, I have set my goals and plan my
actions accordingly. My short term goals are to gain as much knowledge as I can in the field of
business and know how to develop business and professional skills. For this I will put all my
efforts and time to acquire more and more knowledge in this area. My long term goal is to set up
my own business by applying the knowledge and skills that I will acquire during my post

graduation course. For starting up a business, one must first have full knowledge about the
principles that need to be applied, various business environments, understanding the customers
and the business tactics. [4] Therefore my long term goal of starting my own business will only
be achieved by achieving the short term goals of learning the skills need in a business.
To ensure that the required outcomes of the post graduation course are met, I will stay
focused on my studies throughout the course [1]. I believe that a person can only gain success in
life if he is clear in his goals and objectives and he sticks to the those goals. Through the course,
I will keep myself remind about my goals in life. The thought of setting up a business will keep
me motivated. At regular intervals I will assess myself to know where I currently stand and
where I need to reach in life. To ensure that I acquire the best from the course, I will pay my full
attention to each and every thing that will be taught in the University. Theoretical study is not
enough to develop myself professionally. Along the theoretical part of the course I will also put
my focus on the practical knowledge that will be given by the professors. Developing myself
professionally also demands high communication skills. Thus, in order to be successful in this
area I will also put my focus on improving my communication skills.
To monitor and manage my studies I will take the class assessments seriously since
through those assessments. I can judge my progress. It is very important to consult to the
faculties whenever required to gain most out of their knowledge. Equal focus needs to be given
to every subject of a course to gain full skill and knowledge in the course.
In my future the post graduation course will help me various ways. It will develop and
enhance my practical skills and knowledge about how to perform in a professional line. The
course is expected to help me achieve my future goals and objectives. It will provide e a huge
learning opportunity which will help me in my future plan of starting up a business. To start a
business, one has to consider many things which will impact the business ad decide the success
of the business. Thus, the course will teach me all such things which I need to consider in my
business. Through the past graduation course, I will be able to develop entrepreneurship skills
which an entrepreneur needs to posses. I will gain some technical skills related to business which
I can apply to my own business. Through the professional course, I will also be able to manage
people at workplace in a better way. The course will be a reflection on my behavior and my

personality as professional courses also aims to develop the personality of a person through
various workshops.
Therefore, my plan to take up this professional course at Torrens University will develop
my overall skills including business and professional skills. My goals of setting up a business
will only be achieved if I take this course very seriously and put all my efforts to gain the more
knowledge in this area. Thus throughout the course, I will be remain determined to gain success
in life.
