The primary objective of the poster is to decide upon
my goal for the future post my MBA Studies and to
support this goal with a coaching plan and theoretical
references like the GROW Model

Future Goal
• After I complete my MBA, I wish to become a business manager in a
leading Multinational Company.
• This is because I believe that due to the impact of Globalization, the
number and importance of Multinational organizations have
increased considerably and due to this, an employment opportunity
in one of these organizations would benefit the career of an
individual.
• Hence, due to this reason, I have a goal to join one of the
multinational companies and thereby enter into my corporate career.
• From this, I aim to climb the corporate ladder and hence, become a
chief officer in the multinational firm.

Goal setting Theory
• The Goal setting theory is primarily based on the goal
setting which involves formation of the specific action
plans and goals which ae designed in order to assist an
individual to achieve the specific goal and to guide the
person so that he is able to successfully able to
achieve the goal (Miner 2015). The Goal setting guides
an individual through the SMART Criteria.
• This theory was brought forward by Edwin Locke back
in 1960 and states that through proper feedback and
directions any individual will be successfully able to
achieve any goals or objectives whether in professional
and personal life (MacLennan 2017).
Application of the theory
• Hence, in order to be successfully able form a plan which will
thereby assist me in achieving my goal,
• I have made extensive use of the goal setting theory in order to
motivate myself to achieve the particular goal at large (Garvey et al.
2017).
• The goal difficulty was denied which was then followed by the
acceptance of the goal. This was then followed by goal commitment.
• As the goal to work for a MNC is a difficult one, I need to ensure that
I am successfully able to apply all my efforts into it.
• This reflects on my performance as well , I aim to perform well in my
school so that the achievement becomes easier.
• Once I am able to achieve the goal, the extrinsic award will be that I
will get the job and the sense of achievement of the goal will provide
me with an intrinsic satisfaction

GROW MODEL
• As given from the coaching plan in the previous section, I have decided to make use of
the GROW Model in order to assist me to achieve my goal (Serrat 2017). The
application has been done as follows:
• Goal: To secure a job t a Multinational organization.
• Reality: I have adequate skills which would thereby assist me to secure me a good job
and as am pursuing MBA, will be able to represent myself as a suitable candidate.
• Options: The different options as available to me are pursuing my further studies or
starting my own business.
• Wrap: The current employment condition might be a problem and thus, following the
coaching plan I would like to pursue my goal and take it forward.
