Future Goals Post MBA-Life
Name of the Student
My future Goal
After completing my MBA, I wish to become an entrepreneur and utilize my idea and
convert it to a good business opportunity which shall go a long way in assisting me to start
a business which shall provide good returns and be useful to the society as well.
My entrepreneur idea is based on a food delivery application which will deliver food to
different offices located in different metropolitan cities. The lunch boxes will be priced
differently according to the needs of the different customers.
I aim to apply all my knowledge which I will gain in my MBA Coursework, and then convert
the idea to a proper business.
Initially I aim to get angel investors for my business and then get the application developed
which will further assist me to start my food delivery business.
The different restaurants will be linked to the application which will then go a long way in
guiding the different customers and assist them in their orders.

Goal Setting Theory
The theory of Goal Setting is primarily based on the concept of goal
setting which aims to ensure that in order to assist an individual to
achieve their goals they are required to formulize specific actions and
plans which will act as a motivational factor and go a long way to help
the individual to achieve their long term goals (Miner 2015).
Edwin Locke developed this theory and stated that in order to achieve
success in the long run the individual would be required to attain
positive feedbacks and other assistance so that he can achieve the
goal successfully.
In order to be able to plan successfully for my goal and to be able to
achieve it successfully, I have decided to use the Goal setting theory.
Using this theory I have decided to obtain feedback as well as coaching
which will enable me to achieve my goal in a better manner (Viney and
Harris 2013). Moreover, the goal setting theory has also assisted me in
making my objectives as well as goals SMART in nature. I have decided
to keep two kinds of rewards in the end which will be intrinsic as well
as extrinsic in nature which will then motivate me to achieve the goal.

Applying the GROW Model
The GROW Model is a crucial model based on coaching and mentoring which goes a
long way to assist an individual to achieve their goals (David et al. 2016). The application
of the model to my work is as follows:
Goal: To become a successful entrepreneur.
Reality: Presently pursuing MBA and have a good business plan in hand.
Options: To join the Corporate world
Way Beyond: To successfully achieve my mission using the coaching plan so that I can
convert my goal into reality.
