In relation to the advertisement posted on recruit.net, I am applying as a “Mechanical Engineer”
in Daniels. I have gone through the details of the advertisement and have found myself as
suitable for the post. The job requires a mechanical engineer who is well versed in designing &
maintenance of mechanical pieces of equipment. Let me inform you that I am passionate about
design, maintenance and production quality related works. It means I am justifying the basic
needs which you are looking for the position.
So far, I have completed two projects, one of the projects was the performance analysis of
Catalytic Converter. The other project was about reducing the emission of exhaust gases of an
automobile. Both the projects were related to the maintenance of mechanical types of equipment.
It means that I can effectively support the engineering and production team with my level of
skills. Till now, I have told a few of points about me and my skills. I request you to bear with me
for just a few more minutes as I am still not done with explaining my skills to you. I am sure you
will feel excited if you can stay by knowing my skills as a mechanical engineer.
I am proficient with machine operating. Few of the machines which I have already handled are
Milling, conversational lathe machine, cylindrical grinding, surface grinding and drilling
machine. I have also found that one of your needs is to implement operating procedures by

conferring with the production team. It means that my proficiency with machine operation can be
highly valuable to you in this respect.
As I have mentioned in my resume that I can handle any kind of machines and also that time

regard to the job position, I also have few other qualities which are worth a mention. I am hard-

Professional synopsis
As far as my work experience is concerned, I have worked with SAYAJI PACKAGING
PVT. LTD. (INDIA) as a Tool Room & Maintenance Engineer. I worked there for one
complete year from July 2016 to August 2017. The company had a well known reputation in
the market. It was specialized in manufacturing tin container that is normally used for
packaging of eatable products.
 Ability to perform a different kind of machining activity, press tool manufacturing,
forming die & cutting
 I had also been doing preventive, predictive & maintenance of break down kinds of
activities in plant machines
 Very well equipped with skills to conduct the maintenance of different kinds of

Q2: Reflection
The entire journey from constructing a cover letter in response to the chosen job
advertisement to draft a resume has provided me an ample of opportunity to learn a lot of things.
The journey was indeed challenging due to various factors like the cover letter and resume must
look attractive to the employer, so that, chances of getting a call for the interview is increased.
This one purpose had required a lot of things to be done on my part. The first and foremost of
work was to identify the correct set of contents for both cover letter and the resume as well. I had
the idea that useful resources on trusted websites can be a good guiding tool for me for the task I
had in front of me.
I was able to find the few very important sites which actually helped me to understand
what could be the necessary contents. I figured out all those points and also collected all the
information regarding my personal details that includes everything from personal details to job
experience and project completed so far. I also got to know that it is important to integrate my
information with the job advertisement, so that, it makes a good understanding of what I intend
to convey. The job was itself very challenging as I had to work hard and read the entire
advertisement thoroughly. Not only this, I had also studied my personal information and tried to
identify the ways to integrate my personal details with each and every points mentioned in the
job advertisement.
It took a huge time for me to get completed with just a cover letter. I was trying to
understand the best possible contents of the cover letter. Slowly and gradually, I progressed to
accomplish the construction of cover letter. Every single moment of cover letter construction had
the moments of learning for me. I not only learned the way to present my feelings and beliefs to
employers but also learned how to convince the employer. I was somehow able to construct a
cover letter; however, I am not sure at all about that I was able to justify my work.
Resume making was more challenging than a cover letter. This is because I had to
integrate a lot of and relevant thing in it to make it look attractive to the employer. I did this by
understanding the job requirements. I had followed every single point mentioned in the job
requirement section and to the possible extent; I gathered and included the relevant expertise of
mine in the resume. The resume appears a bit large; however, it clearly expresses the relevant
expertise in me which were mentioned as the area of requirements in the need section of the
chosen job. The session was really exhausting; however, it helped me learn a lot of things which
are important for a professional practice and communication.
