How I planned to
document lessons
There was a time when I
was assigned for a
project in my semester.
The entire requirement
of the project was based
on core professional
project management.
That time I did nit have
that much knowledge
regarding project
management. That was
the time when I planned
to identify and collect the

In order to implement the
project successfully,
application of lessons
are not enough thus
while gathering lessons
from different resources I
planned to involve my
course mates and
project supervisor.
I have found that there
are many best prcatices
available for preparing
the lessons learned
document. For this
particular case I planned
to document lessons by
involving all project
stakeholders and sharing
the ideas with other
project team members.

What actually happened
When I identified and
collected lessons learnt
Who I involved in the
process of gathering

How I documented
lessons
After gathering data from
different resources with
the help of my other
project team members
and the guidance of the
supervisor I realized that
there is a big difference
between what I have
planned to collect and
what I have actually
collected I have learned
that a resource
management plan is very
much necessary to be
prepared along with a
feasibility study at the
very initiation project
development phase.
In order to process the
collected data I have
involved the supervisors
and other course mates of
mine.
In this case I have
documented all the data
by using the concept of
“storing lesson learnt
document in a central
repository system of the
organisation where I was
working”.
