Introduction:
Appropriate project management is very much important for the projects to become
successful (Meredith, Mantel Jr & Shafer, 2017). Previously a project management contract has
been taken for the construction of a home. The home building project was started and that project
was consisting a deadline about 12 months. Though the project was started appropriately, there
was various of issues that occurs within the project. The first issue that occurred with the project
was performance of the sub-contractors and the vendors. Here, it has been assessed that both of
them were performing low which was having a direct impact over the project. The main reason
behind this was lack of proper reporting procedure (Tan, 2019). Another issue regarding that was
unable to make informed decision as there was no data to objectively manage the vendors and
the subcontractors. Also, the project failed to develop a risk management plan for assessment of
the risks. Also, there was lack of leadership capabilities which negatively impacted the overall
project.
As there are several of issues that associated with the current project, it is important to
take necessary actions for proper mitigation of these issues. Thus, in this report necessary actions
will be taken and for that appropriate project management processes will be discussed.
Implementation of these new measures will be also discussed in this context. Specifically, an
explanation will be provided for efficient and effective project reporting and review mechanism.
In the following section the utilization of seven quality control tool will be demonstrated.
Following that explanation will be provided for an effective risk management plan. In the further
section of this report appropriate leadership style will be also discussed managing this house
building project successfully.

Leadership Style for managing Project:
Construction Industry requires a need for leadership in comparison to others in the
industry. Most of the reason supports the notion which is completely evident from the nature of
construction project and construction projects. Construction of this house is very much complex
in terms of technology and it requires the involvement of skill combinations (Ricard et al., 2017).
Members from different construction disciplines and make leadership very much important in the
whole industry. Leadership stands to be as one key success factor in any given activity which
requires collaboration among a group of people. Both success and failure of the project are
completely based on the project leadership and how the people interact with these (Sadgrove,
2016). Some of the well-known leadership style is autocratic leadership, democratic leadership,
and transformational leadership, transactional leadership and lastly democratic leadership.
For the construction of this house, there is a need for following transformational
leadership style. It is all about empowering the team members to develop a certain number of
decisions which is based on information. This merely provides little kind of control over the
whole decision-making process. The whole process stands out to be a bit time-consuming but it
is useful when the team members are committed to best interest of organization (Barafort,
Mesquida & Mas, 2017). Transformational leadership has been completely designed for carrying
a certain number of changes to the management team. Leaders in most of the cases are found to
be completely charismatic and vision with certain plans. This merely focuses on how the changes
are seen in the department of the organization. Transformational leadership stands out to be best
when the morale of team performance. It stands out to be disappointing with the earlier

facing. These issues are the lack of appropriate performance of the subcontractors and the
vendors due to improper project review and report and failure in making informed decisions as
there are not enough data for objectively managing the subcontractors and the vendors. Also, the
other issue is the failing to develop a risk management plan and lack of leadership capabilities.
Thus, in this paper appropriate remedies for these identified issues has been presented. For
solving the first identified solution, explanation regarding an effective and efficient project
reviewing and reporting has been evaluated. In the following section of this report demonstration
has been provided regarding utilization of seven quality control tools through which
subcontractor and vendor performance data can be generated. Through this way, the second issue
