INTRODUCTION
The main motive of health care institutions is to enhance the quality of care and services that
they provide to patient in order to bring most positive outcomes out of the efforts made. Hence
the regular practice toward improving the health as well as care plan of patient is essential. This
best practice within the health care term is defined as the best way for identifying, gathering,
evaluating, disseminating as well as implementing the information as well as monitoring the
outcome of the health care interventions that are being tried over the patients and defining the
indication or condition (Bain and Fowler, 2020). So, the practice based initiative is all about
improving the health care practice through the evidence and experiences in order to improve the
quality of services delivered to the patient for enhancing the quality of care and improve their
health care. In order to further develop understanding about the importance of practice based
initiate within improving the care services for the patients this study is conducted which is based
on NHS which ia a health and social care institution.
NHS is a publicly funded health care system which is headquartered in United Kingdom.
This name is combinedly operated under four system one within each of the four countries of UK
which includes NHS in England, NHS Wales, NHS Scotland and Health and social care within
Norther Ireland. It offered range of services such as primary care services, ambulance, mental
health services, social care and hospital services. NHS is best known for its health care services
and practices (Hyde, MacVicar and Humphrey, 2020). But as the issues related with health care
is increasing day by day it become very much essential for the health care service providers to
improve their services in order to [provide better cure and treatment to the patient. The care
practices can be improved with the help of enhancing the practices adopted by the health care
practitioners. Hence to determine the role of practices-based initiative in improving the health
care services this report is conducted.

This topic has a wider scope for the health and social care sector as it help in developing an
understanding about the need pf improving the health care practice in order to enhance the
quality of services offered to the patient. This in turn also help in improving the health and social
care sector as well as the performance of health care practitioners. Other then this the study will
also remain helpful in uncovering the fact about why the initiative toward improving the health

The current report is based on performing investigation to identify the role that a practice-
based initiative performs within improving the quality of services that are delivered with in the
health care setting. To determine the feasibility of report firstly the literature review will be
performed that help in developing an understanding about the area of study and also support in
determining the feasibility of study. As literature review help in evaluating the findings
performed by some other scholar previously by critically evaluating about their view points. This
help in developing a base understanding about the area of study whi8ch is going to performed
based on previously established knowledge. This will support in identifying that whether the area

the study it remain very much necessary for an investigator to choose right set of approaches for
executing the research activities that help in directing toward a path to accomplish the objective

guider to support investigator in performing a research appropriately by guiding over the
pathway. On the other side the set of methodology and approaches used by the investigator also
support the reader in determining the validity and reliability of study conducted (Wiek and Lang,
2016). So, the approaches and methods used for this investigation are mentioned below:

the investigation are realism, positivism, interpretivism. Among them all the positivism

converting the data int meaningful information. The approaches used within a particular
investigation are mainly of two kind such as inductive and deductive. The choice of approach
within an investigation is based on the type of investigation method adopted by the researcher for
conducting the study (Mackey and Gass, 2015). As the current study is based on quantitative
method of research the deductive approach will be more suitable for the research. This is so
because it help in evaluating the numerical data effectively and convert it into meaningful
information in relation with the aim and objectives decided for the study to help in justifying
them and proving them right to complete the research.

Data collection
The data collection is that section of an investigation which presents detailed about the
sources that are used by the investigator to collect the information. There are number of sources
which are used within an investigation in order to collect information but as per their
chrematistics these sources of data collection are categories within two categories such as
primary and secondary. The primary sources are one where the information is collected for the
first time and actually generated directly from the person or place over which the investigation if
performed. This is also known as first hand approach of data collection as the information is
collected for first time which is not yet been access by nay other person. The sources that are
used for gathering the primary information are interview, questionnaire, focus group, brain
storming, survey, group discussion etc. On the other hand the secondary sources are one where

the information is already presented by some another person previously and now used by the
researcher with an aim to develop an understanding from the previously established knowledge
within this are of study (Walliman, 2017) . This information is mainly known as second hand
information as it is secondary to the researcher. The sources used for gathering the secondary
information are books, articles, blog, records, journals etc. In order to conduct this investigation
both sources of data collection will be used. Among them the secondary information will be
gathered using sources like article, blog, web pages, journals and books in order to critically
review the view point of scholars about study area.
On the other hand the primary data will be collected with the help of questionnaire as it
support in collecting the larger amount of information in less possible time period by gathering
the view point of huge number of people. In order to collect the primary information with the
help of questionnaire the sampling method will be used which is a process of selecting group of
people that are related with the area opf study and support in gathering the most relatable and
appropriate information. There are mainly two methods that are used for performing sampling
such as probability and non probability sampling. Among them the probability sampling method
will be consider for performing this study. This is so because the probability sampling help in
avoiding the chance of biasness by providing equal opportunity to each individual out of whole
population to being selected. The probability sampling method help in selecting the respondents
on random method basis. The sample size for this report will be 30 respondents who are the
health care practitioner that are working within NHS.
Data analysis:
It is refers to the procedure which is used process all the gathered data so that it get
evaluated effectively and then convert into meaningful information (Tuohy and et.al., 2013). The
data collected will be analysed by making use of thematic analysis where each discussion will be
headed with a theme that provide an idea about the discussion to be made next for helping reader
in understanding things effectively. Other than this the primary data will be presented using
graphs and chart to make it more explanatory

Literature review is defined as that section of an investigation which support in gathering
information from the previously performed study in order to develop an understanding regarding
the area of study so that further plan for investigation can be performed. In this section the view

point of several authors get critically evaluated over the similar topic from tehir previously
performed investigation and presented findings. This support in developing a base of knwoeldge
about the study area and that further help in determining the pathway to be adopted to further
perform primary investigation and make justification based over the previously established

research to those individuals who will utilise the information in practice. There are some
stakeholders of NHS including patients, insurance companies, government, pharmaceutical
firms, physicians and other healthcare professionals. Disseminating the information to those
stakeholders is very necessary so, for communicating the information appropriately, the tools
like emails, telephonic communication and messages are used.
