Reflective practice can be understood as capability of individuals which helps them
to reflect actions as well as engage in continuous learning in an effective manner
(Bell, Wilcoxen and Steiner, 2022). This project report comprises of understanding
of reflective model which is named as Gibb's Reflective framework for enhancing
knowledge regarding personal, professional as well as academic development.
This project report discusses the enhancement of skills in context to personal,
professional as well as academic aspects in a strategic manner.
Professional Development
Gibb reflective model is a cyclic framework which aid learners in providing a
structure for concluding their experiences in an effective manner (Cho, 2022)
(DeBettencourt and Nagro, 2019). Stages of Gibb's reflective model in context to
professional development are as follows:
Description- I have enrolled myself in a module called as Professional practice-
learning through organisations. I have joined this as I want to develop my problem-
solving and negotiation skills while going for a job in a later time period. Problem-
solving skills are necessary for overcoming varied challenges and solving conflict
among employees in an effective manner.
Feelings- While starting this module, I was feeling a combination of nervousness
and happiness as this is a new experience for me. I was also feeling awkward while
meeting with my classmates which later become normal through engaging in
interactions.
Evaluation- I evaluated that I was good at negotiation skills and needs to enhance
it for developing my professional career. I faced issues in solving problems in a
instant manner as I used to think through an emotional side. I evaluated that career
learning process is most interesting as well as intriguing aspect of the entire
session. I want to use this process for becoming more organised as well as make

will also improve decision-making and can establish trust which reduce employee
turnover in an effective manner. Emotional intelligence is concerned with enhancing
varied skills in learners such as self-awareness, motivation and related to empathy
(Decker and Et. Al., 2021). This can aid individuals in communicating effectively,
defuse conflicts as well as empathize with others.
Feelings- I felt happy while taking lectures in this module. As the sessions are well-
versed connected as well as interactive which help me to enhance my knowledge in

Feelings- I felt nervous and excited while attending lectures in this module. I was

by learning about the self-leadership process as well as varied management styles
which can be help me in developing my skills in an effective manner.
