The children’s learning and development through play is maintained in Whanaungatanga
by applying an exceeding improvement to implement the characteristics of the children’s
learning. There is availability of the playing grounds in Whanaungatanga that could support the
teacher’s task plan. The teacher had planned to make camp fire in the sandpit with the students.
Such a playground is available in Whanaungatanga. The initiates participate together the teachers
in order to achieve the goals set for developing the learner’s play. Learners in the
Whanangautanga therefore benefit from the developments initiated and their communication and
the relationship skills within the community are also built. This develops in them the sense and
the abilities to be able to support their daily practices. Whanaungatanga is a large community
that requires each and every individual to play their roles and take responsibilities to develop the
children’s learning through play, (Levy, 2015).
Initiates maintain the communication in diverse learning communities by establishing
trust with the staff members and helping them to strengthen their roles and principles in the
learning sector. For instance, the teacher’s task plan according to the evaluation report was to out
to the sand with the students to make camp fire. The initiates are therefore available to help the
staff members in ensuring the children’s safety is maintained. Checking and interacting with the
staff members regularly always assist them to create confidence hence they are able to focus
more and display their points of view. Initiates can also inquire from honest opinions from their
trusted partners and be able to extract responses on the presentations made. They are also in a
position to clarify the messages pertaining to the learning sectors and request for feedbacks on
the issues that they need to improve on, (Bryze, 2018).
Children’s learning through integrated curriculum can be demonstrated by talking about a
topic via dissimilar subject areas. Parents should also be made aware of the curriculum that is

taught in the learning sectors because they may be of support to the children by helping them to
understand more about the curriculum when they are not with their teachers for instance during
the corona lock-down, (Levy, 2018).
