Respondent 1: I am a religious person and I consider that Jesus is the optimum valuable
person in life. I believe in god, however, I am concerned with the uncertainty of life and that
influences me towards the prayers.
Why did you prayer?
Respondent 1: There are a lot reasons for individuals like me to do the prayers. I believe that
prayer is a form of showing our respect towards the ultimate power in our life. I usually
participate in the prayers to portray my gratitude towards God for gifting me the scope to live
each and every day. I am thankful to ad for the opportunity.
Is prayer important for you?
Respondent 1: I consider prayer to be important as it provides the energy and freshness to
successfully manage my day’s operations. Along with this, I consider it motivates me
towards managing my operations without hurting anyone which is important to lead a life in
accordance to the belief of God.

Respondent 1: Well, as I mentioned earlier that my urge of doing the prayers is largely
influenced by my objective of thanking God for the life that I got and along with that, I
believe the god is in control of each and every aspect of our daily life. Hence, the prayers are
must for acknowledging the help of God in our life.

Respondent 2: My name is Asif Muhammad and I live in Norway for the last 8 years.

Respondent 2: My age is 43 years.

Respondent 2: I belong to Islam and I believe Allah is the optimum source of power.
Tell me about last time you prayed?
Respondent 2: Being a religious Muslim, I am considerably inclined towards the almighty
Allah and I do participate in Namaaz for five times each day. I believe that Allah is the one
that provided me the scope to live in this beautiful world and along with that, Allah is the one
that will continuously provide me the strength to live a beautiful life in future as well. Hence,
to pay my tribute for such a beautiful life to the almighty, I consider it is important for me to
do the prayers time to time.
Why did you prayer?
Respondent 2: Well, I do the prayers to acknowledge the ability of God in successfully
helping me for experiencing such a beautiful life. Along with that, as per our religious belief,
I participate in the prayers to portray my gratefulness towards the almighty.
Is prayer important for you?
Respondent 2: Yeah, the prayers are certainly important for me as that provides me the scope
to practice my belief in God. Along with that, the prayers help me in improving my
understanding of life.

Respondent 3: I just celebrated my 37th birthday two weeks earlier.

Respondent 3: I am a Christian by birth. However, I am not that inclined towards religion.
Tell me about last time you prayed?
Respondent 3: Well, the prayers for me were never frequent. A rough idea will probably say
that I last prayed 3 months ago when I had a bike accident.
Why did you prayer?
Respondent 3: As I mentioned earlier, I am not someone who is largely inclined towards the
religion and the practice of prayers. I am considerably limited in these sort of activities. I do
the prayers whenever I am in fear with incidents of life or the activities that have the potential
to affect the smooth occurrences of my life.
Is prayer important for you?
Respondent 3: To be honest, the prayers are not that much important for my life and that is
visible with the life style that I follow. Having said that, I only practice the prayers when I am
in danger or possibly facing any sort of situations that have the capability to increase my
anxiety.
How does prayer connect to faith and life?
Respondent 3: Well, I have lesser consideration towards the prayers and is primarily less
interested towards connecting the prayers to faith and life.
