INTRODUCTION
Business is considered as an economic activity which is helpful in providing profit to the
owner. In the business and corporate world the organisations play a crucial role by developing
effective business for general public (Smirnova, 2019). The business organisation's are separate
legal entities which are started by two or more owners for providing effective products and
services. This report includes example of Premier Inn and it is a United Kingdom based
hospitality organisation. This organisation was founded in 1987 by Whitbread and includes
72000 rooms and 800 hotels. This project report includes a brief overview and analysis of
Premier Inn Hotel. It also includes internal and external factors which create impact on business
due to Covid-19 situation.
TASK
Organisation structure of Premier Inn
In the functioning of a business organisation the organisation structure plays a
main role by defining various functions of the organisation. The hierarchy of management play
an important role in developing roles and responsibilities of the employees. Premier Inn hotel
also choose best structure in order to carry out different organisational activities and functions. In
the era of stiff competition between companies it is compulsory for an organisation to develop
and select an appropriate structure for long term survival of the hotel:
Types of organisational structure
In the corporate world organisational structure play a very crucial role which is also
effective in developing a professional business approach at the marketplace. The business
organisation's structure is the mechanism under which a company performs business operations.
In the functioning of a business entity there are two types of organisational structure which are
mentioned below:
Tall structure: The tall structure of a business organisation is related to the
system of maintaining small number of employees with a manager. In this type of
business structure the manager of the business entity is responsible to the top level
management.

organisational structure in order to compete at the marketplace and develop a responsible and

structure is increasing day by day which impacts the main business activities and functions. It is
important for the management of Premier Inn hotel to include and develop tall organisational
structure for the development of business in a short period of time.

main component that is used by many successful business organisations in order to
compete at the marketplace (Beynon-Davies, 2021). The Premier Inn hotel also maintains
customer relationship management with the help of information and technology to attract
large number of customers from the marketplace.
Legal factors- The legal factors are related to rules and regulations which are formulated
by the government and local authorities. It is important for a business organisation to
follow all the legal factors that are essential in development of the business. The ethical
practices in the business world determine conducting an effective business at the
marketplace. It is essential for a business organisation to follow all the rules and
regulations which are meant for the business organisations to avoid penalties and fines. It
is important for an organisation to follow various rules and regulations which are
