In the matter of creating a Group presentation I have felt that self-assessment is an important
aspect of creating a thoughtful and creative group activity like a group presentation. In terms
of where group work it is required, while performing or working in groups and being part of a
group presentation two things are very important. These are Group work or Teamwork and
the ability to self-assess and reflect on the assessment made by the person (Burke, 2011).
According to the Gibbs Reflective Cycle I believe that the most important aspect is provided
to the person to think and create a systematic chain of thoughts about a certain activity and
the various phases that lead to the experience of performing the activity. The Gibbs
Reflective cycle suggests that while creating a self-analysis it is required that the first step
should be to create a description of what had happened and the second step should be the
understanding of the feelings of creating the group presentation. For any student working in a
group can be a unique experience (Jasper, 2003). In my case I have found that working in a
group provides me with better skills to show my specific potentiality and work together as a

team. The Evaluation stage is when I have realised that there were some situations and
moments where there were problems with the presentation due to various aspects like a
technical problem or a member not remembering her part well. I believe in the Analysis stage
there is a need to understand that the group member forgetting her part was due to her fear for
presentation. I would in any later group presentation make an effort to help the members of
the group feel easier and less stressful while presenting.
Acceding to the Greenaway Model which I believe is simpler for reproducing the reflective
model after a group presentation task. In this model the first task is to identify the work that is
being done. In this approach the work that is conducted by me is to participate in a group
presentation, and to work together to create the presentation and deliver it. In the process of
creating the presentation I have been faced with various challenges like learning new things,
using creativity to make presentation vivid and illustrated and participated in delivering part
of the presentation. This helped me to understand myself and become less self-conscious as a

review of how I had performed on the day I shall believe that I had done fairly well, but I
could have done better in terms of presentation skills. While assessing my work afterwards, I
believe that my efforts to create an informative and useful presentation were evident in the
group presentation section done by me. I also had the opportunity to guide the group towards
a better presentation, although I could have provided better delivery of the presentation which
was a bit disturbed by my feeling of awkwardness and I am sure that in the next instance
where I am provided a group presentation work I will be able to complete it without a
problem.
