should handle an individual in the manner they would like to be handled and should operate in
the person's personal wishes. Care staff gets to meet and show compassion for their customers.
Their mission is to enhance their customer's standard of living. Option, integrity, freedom,
relationship, confidentiality, fairness, rights, protection, equal opportunity, and security are the
values of treatment (Pickens and Wunderink, 2019).
ASSIGNMENT 1
(a) Using theory and knowledge, provide an outline of the importance of principles of care
There are discussed different types of principle with importance in health and care:
Anti discrimination: Discrimination is when equality of care is treated very differently
or not granted to a person. Care workers have to ensure that, regardless of their own behavior,
they do not make unjust decisions about with an person. As a result of their gender , ethnicity,
faith, age or capacity, persons may be discriminatory towards. It may take multiple shapes,
including verbal, psychological or physical violence.
Confidentiality: Confidentiality, which is an integral characteristic of effective care
practice, ensures trust between both the patient and the professional. Even so, when the
practitioner / care worker needs to negotiate their situations with their boss and must inform
them whatever their patient has said, there is no total privacy. In trial, they may need to disclose
what they learn about a person. Unless the person is trying to damage oneself or others or if they
are trying to commit an offence, a health, social care or early support worker will have to talk

directly. Such data should be forwarded on to the individual in charge of the care environment.
In prepared to comply with such circumstances, this individual will be educated (Delaney, 2018)
. Confidentiality is violated if, when learning about the case, a healthcare professional speaks
about either a patient or calls them.
Dignity: Dignity recognizes the individuality of a citizen and their selfish reasons. The
freedom to go it alone, untouched and protected from interference or public scrutiny is to be
protected in private. Dignity is about giving privacy to a person and ensuring that the
circumstance is not humiliating. A professional must assist people in preserving their self-respect
and protecting privacy.
Choice: Care professionals must ensure that people have the chance to make rational
decisions. In order to make decisions about such an option, adequate details must be given to the
client, e.g. a client requires knowing what that means, how it can benefit as well as any health
consequences to be given treatment (Coyne, Hallström and Söderbäck, 2016).
Importance of principle of care
Such data should be passed on to the individual in charge of the care environment. In
order to deal with such situations, this individual will be educated. Confidentiality is
violated if, when learning about the case, a care worker chats about a client or names
them.
It is important that people have the best treatment to fulfil their needs, desires and
interests in health and social care. To ensuring that requirements are satisfied, it is
essential that precautions have been taken. This is where person-centered strategies
implement, putting the people at the core of each and every choice and interaction taken.
Dignity in care work concentrates with every individual person worth as just a person. It
implies acknowledging the opinions, decision - making process of others, not making
judgments on how individuals would like to be handled and working with consideration
and empathy (McNeal, 2019).

discussed in class
In the health and social care, face many issues in regard of the care and control. Proper
management includes managing transition in health and social care systems. Development is the

by the PwC Health research center, 45 percent state the skills of their employees are a major
obstacle to organizational change. Fifty-five percent of public insurance managers state that

Policy impact on healthcare: Healthcare policy impacts on the cost citizens and must
focus on their care. Along with access of quality of care that impact on the overall health. The
healthcare policy consist of creation and application of laws, standards, regulations and rules for
nation's healthcare system.
Code of ethics: It impacts on the health care quality professionals that has reasoning of a
framing a job descriptions. The NAHQ code of ethics informs about individual decision making
in regard of ethical situations with particular role and situation.
(d) Consider the importance of legislation in the protection of vulnerable people in health and
social care
In the health and social care system, failure to comply with the Health and Safety Act
1974 can lead to problems with the Health and Safety Management (HSE). Staff members have
to be skilled in handling their own risk and tracking any actions that could present a risk in their
workspace. Likewise, care staff has to be mindful of the 2010 Equality Act, which encompasses
the nine security features. In order to shield oneself and their company from undue legal
expenses, care workers must be aware of both overt and discriminatory behavior (Trappenburg
and Noordegraaf, 2018). In fact, to conform to the values of equity and inclusion, network
operators need to build an equitable working atmosphere for service organizations and
developers. As network operators can risk their license for failure to comply, the effects of not
complying with the laws and regulations of the government may be serious. Employees who do
not comply with the standards of conduct set by their company often risk losing
Care act 2014: By specifying the legal duties of shielding vulnerable adults, this Act applies to
preserving vulnerable adults. It specifies that local governments have the ultimate responsibility
and must collaborate with health and care agencies in collaboration. Instead of basic security and
safety, the Act stresses the general health-being of vulnerable adults.

The Act 2006 Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups: This legislation seeks to ensure that
unsuitable persons do not end up interacting with vulnerable adults. Those with a background
record of crime and abuse are put on a list that is reviewed while someone is applying for a
position with vulnerable adults. The process of screening and prohibiting determines the piece of
job that needs a list search, with offices controlled and managed. It helps to discourage potential
abuses from being acted out by anyone who is accused of violent crimes.
These Acts are important for the protection of the vulnerable people in the framework of
health and social care. With the help of these legislation provide rights and facilities of all the
Vulnerable people in order to get effective facilities in health and social care. Legislation is
important in developing a basis for legislative intervention in areas which are either completely
new or not recognized by case law to be government intervention within the jurisdiction
(Mittelstadt, 2019).
ASSIGNMENT 2
1. Identifying something from principal of care that influence on health and care approach
Principle of care impact on the health and care approach in positive way. These principle
follow all the rules and regulations of health care sector and provide rights to people fore their
treatment. I have learned various things from the principle of care that these principles are
providing equality to all patients and have right to same treatment. These principles are set by the
UK government for all type of people and use by them for their treatment. Once a time I visited
in a hospital for treatment of my mother but doctor was giving preference to their relatives. That
time I was using principle of care and talk with other people who were waiting in line. Other
people can face same situation because they want to check their relatives and some patients are
not able to stand in line. At this time, we all were taking action as per the principle and talk with
senior about the treatment (Miller, 2018). As a result senior visit in OPD and ask top doctor
about their policies and scold him for working unprofessional manner. Along with senior doctor
take action against of that doctor and provide us better treatment.
Before this situation I feel that all doctors are caring and give preference to all patients
but after this behave of doctor feel very bad. I felt that other people also face same this situation

so I have decided to provide acknowledgment about principle of care and provide guidance how
to use it for his right. After this situation I take new decision for all people who were facing this
situation and some people face complex situation. Along with, understanding the values of other
cultures and seeking permission that do not prejudice cultural barriers is essential. At certain
times of the day, many people have to pray, many consume certain foods, e.g. vegans do not eat
the meat, some do not eat fatty things, e.g. Jews eat no pork. Some societies have rules on how
men and women can talk, e.g. female people will need to be handled by female professionals.
Care staff needs to be receptive to and respond accordingly to distinct cultural beliefs. The
negative point sees in this situation that people were not aware about these principles and have
no idea how these principles are helping in their treatment.
2. How can such experience influence personal development and insight
When a person has experience of social care so it is using for personal development and
insight in proper manner. With the help of own experience take right decision. Am working as
nurse in a hospital and have more experience of eyes treatment. After some time I take decision
to get growth in this field and continue my study. Due to have experience passed out my all
exams and become good doctor as eye specialist. The experience work for me in positive manner
and take right decision at right time to explore my skills and become confident for my career (Yu
and et.al, 2018).
CONCLUSION
As per the above report has been concluded that Social care helps the patient and
assistance for persons who need it due to age, sickness, impairment, or other conditions. It varies
from assistance with basic everyday operations, such as dining and cleaning, to involvement in
all facets of life, including such employment or socialization. Social care may be given in
residential gardens to encourage functional independence or help with rehabilitation after illness
and to provide a secure place for residents to survive in assisted housing, retirement or care
facilities if residential care is no longer possible.
