INTRODUCTION
Health and social care refers to a term that relates to delivery of services within health and social
care by their providers in UK. They provide treatment, care and support both psysiosocial and
pharmacological along with helping social and other need. It also support people to live healthy
life with more independent for longer. It also provide support for treatment and care which they
require with the help of dignity compensation that deserve. In this report, there is discussion
about how health and social care value able to influence care delivery. There is an explanation of
principle of safeguarding service users. This report also consists of an evaluation of government
legislation within health and social care which influence practices. It also describes code of
practice influencing professional practices. In this report, there is evaluation of person-centred
care and their role in Holistic care. There is also a description about issues of social isolation and
exclusion in service users. It also provide information that have professional can help to
overcome this social isolation and exclusion (Ellner, (2017)).
TASK 1
Discussing how health and social care values can influence care delivery
To understand how health and social care value can influence car delivery, there is a need
to understand the principles and value which are involved in health and social care as a principle
of care.
Confidentiality- It refers to a document which contain personal information of patient and
their health-related concern. Health and social care service providers need to maintain the
confidentiality of the person and should not share their information with other person without
concern of patient. There should not be sharing of information with any third party.
Dignity- In any circumstances individuals need to be treated with respect and dignity
while receiving health and social care. This can help to improve and influence better care
delivery.
Rights- In health and social care, every individual have the right to get information
related with their treatment and medication. They have also the right to take their decision about
their treatment and related concern. This can help to improve and influence better care delivery
within health and social care (Reiter, (2018)).

Choice- Every individual have their right to decide with different treatment options. They
should be involved in their treatment decision-making.
Partnership- While delivering a health and social care to individuals, there is need to take
partnership with patient. This can help to provide better information related with health issue and
health. This can help health and social care provider can take make the decision accordingly for
the treatment. This can play a major role to influence better care delivery.
Independence- Individual are enable to act independently. In health and social care
services have the aim to maximize individual's capacity for providing self care and mobility to
themself. This can help to deliver and influence better care.
Explaining principle of safeguarding service users
Safeguarding refers to the protection of health and well being along with human right and
also enable individual for live safely and should prevent from neglection and abuse. It is related
with working together for preventing and reducing experiences of have neglect along with risk.
There are some principle of safeguarding which can be utilized in the health and social care.
Prevention- In this, they need to take action before occurrence of harm to any individual.
In this, individual need to learn about types of reviews and sign which can help to identify the
need of safeguarding (Paylor, (2018)).
Proportionality- This is related with intrusive responses which are valuable and
appropriate to presented risk. This can allow getting involved for providing better security and
safeguarding to the individual as much as needed. This is the principle which ensure that patients
life should be infected minimum by accurately addressing the risk.
Protection- This is the principal with support and having representation for those
individual who needed it majorly. This is to protecting from any neglect or abuse.In this
individual should have the information and knowledge what to do for providing providing better
safeguarding and work against related concern for better well being.
Partnership- In health and social care, there is need to work with partnership which can
either be between patient and healthcare service provider for partnership between two different
service provider. They all work together for better detecting, preventing and reporting neglect
and abuse. In this, information has been collected for providing better delivery of healthcare and
for safeguarding to the patient.

Accountability- This principle refers that every individual have the duty of safeguarding
to the related people whom with they are connected with a venerable patient. Health and social
care worker have their responsibility to identify any vulnerable patient with potential harm. It is
job of friends, doctor and relative through which they come into contact (Archer, (2017)).

Evaluating piece of government legislation within health and social care along with its influence
on practice
Health and safety at work act 1974 is one of a piece of legislation which can deal with
different aspect of health and safety at the workplace. This is based on common sense and safe
practices at the workplace. The employer must play their role and responsibility for providing
health and safety to the employees during work. There is need to employ this act in effective
practice which can help to provide better safety and effective health at the workplace. There are
some of the responsibility of employer which includes maintaining safety system at the
workplace along with safety equipment. They need to ensure about the safe place of work where
working equipment should be operational and safe. There should use of PPE which can help to
provide better protection from any hazard or accident in the workplace with interest of Health
and safety. This should be taken in practice on regular basis. This allows individuals to stay
healthy and safe at the workplace. It also influence everyone take care of themselves at the
workplace. This legislation provides a wide range of safety and security to employees at their
workplace. This act and legislation also allows for better safeguarding at the workplace to every
employee which is the responsibility of the employer and have the right of employees. The
practice of this legislation allows every individual to protect themselves from any accident or
hazard and also promote safety at workplace. This Act plays an important role in delivering
health and social care to a large population by safe practices to avoid any accident and proper
safety at the workplace (Bartlett, (2018)).
Evaluating how codes of practices influence professional practice
Code is refers to primary document for setting out the standard for practices and conduct.
This is related with legislation that can employ policy and process within health and social care
sector. This increase the use of codes practice to look the area which can be improved. It also
provide the information to behave with patient in health and social care. It also allows healthcare

professional to support social care worker for better delivery of their services for effectively
performing their role. This code of conduct plays an important role and searching out the area of
improvement which can help a health and social care professional to deliver effective healthcare
treatment and they also influence the professional practices. Code of practice provide the
information to act on different situation which can help and influence professional practices.
Code of practice also allows the information which can help to improve the health care delivery
of services by health and social care worker to the patient. This also influence to improve
professional practice while delivering their services within health and social care. Code of
practice also help to improve the practices of the professional by continuing delivering of their
services within health and social care. As an employer of health and social care, it is expected to
promote use of good practices for decision-making about the practice and conduct of staff
members. It refers to setting which clear are standard of professional behavior and practice to
improve and regulate the quality of care for individual who use services. This code allows to
expect from social service worker. They have the responsibility of duty of care to ensure fair
practice of their standard services (Zaid, (2017)).

Evaluation of person-centered care and their role in Holistic care
Person-centred care refers to providing care to the patient to improve patients condition
and delivering healthcare services for improved and better health. It can provide quality care to
the patient for improving healthcare setting. It also provide benefit to apply in the practices for
improved healthcare treatment in Holistic care. This is based on social, biologically,
psychological, spiritually interconnected with nursing staff for receiving healthcare with the help
of a unique person (Platt, (2017)). Holistic nursing focuses on individual care for understanding
needs of patient. This is related with mutual understanding about spiritual, emotional, physical
dimensions. Person-centred care plays an important role in holistic care and able to deliver
quality of care to the patient for and help in every activity. They can provide proper medication
at right time and taking care of the patient that they should not harm any person for themselves.
It also allows to help an individual to perform their daily activity in an effective way for the
improved health. Person-centred care plays an important role for delivering Holistic care. They

are the nursing staff who are individually delivering healthcare services to a specific person for
improved health to the person who are not able to perform their daily activity and need for
person-centred care to get help in performing daily activity. Person-centered care also take care
of the patient regarding their medication on time with proper doses and help in performing daily
activity and physical exercise and staying with individual for the improved health (Garmy,
(2021)) .
Discussing issues of social isolation and exclusion in service users and how professionals can
help to overcome this
Social isolation is one of the barrier for providing and staying healthy. Social isolation
leads to create and anxiety and feeling of depression. There is need to help to the service user to
overcome these. Healthcare professional can provide better counseling and helping out to
identify reason of social isolation by solving the reason. This can help to overcome from social
isolation and exclusion. Due to social isolation and exclusion it leads to create a direct impact on
mental health which need proper care and quality treatment. They also need proper guidance for
live their life effectively. Healthcare professional can help them by counselling and guiding with
proper medication to help to overcome from these issues like social isolation and exclusion.
Healthcare professionals can help service user by including contact with counsellor and by
referring the patient to support group and handling patients is rich quality along with help in
rebuilding family network. Healthcare professional also help a patient by providing support in
their interesting work and practice therapeutically. Social isolation in the threatening condition
that can help to provide better care and treatment to the patient and help to overcome through the
isolatio (Ilgaz, (2020))n.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that there is a need of social care
practices for performing the different activity and providing better health and service to the
patient. There is also some principle of safeguarding which can be used for protection for
malpractice and insecurity. There is also need for government legislation within health and social
care which can help to influence on practice. Code of practice also influence professional
practice for delivering better health and social care. Person-centered care plays an important role

in Holistic care and health care professional should help to overcome service user from issue of
social isolation and exclusion.
