INTRODUCTION
Development of health is a prime priority for every individual in order to live their life in
much better manner by accomplishing their day to day activities. However, health and social care
is a term which relates with those services that are provided by healthcare associations to the
needy people such as; aged citizens, poor people and so on (Purdie, Dudgeon and Walker, 2010).
Therefore, assignment is going to highlight various legal norms, legislation, provisions, rules and
regulations set by governing bodies for controlling wrongful conducts from health care
associations. However, case study based on two care homes will discussed in the project for
understanding the influence of several elements related with health care practices on users and
company too. For example; procedure followed by care homes for protecting patients, employees
and various other member related with the association. Number of theories, effectiveness of
inter-professional and several other matters related with development of social care workplace
are further outlined in the project. Hence, main objective of the whole assignment is to throw
major lights on numerous of Principles related with health and social care practice.

1.1 Principles of support applied for ensuring caring of individuals in health and social care
According to given case study, ICON Residential care home which engaged in providing
care services to dementia people that is explicitly rely on upholding and encouraging human
rights of individuals. However, patients are not able to acquire necessary care facilities because
of staff dilemma as they get confused about their duty due the presence of various patients. Thus
care Home needs to follow all the necessary provisions, rules and regulations while
accomplishing their organizational functions. For example; daily supervision of staff, yearly
appraisals by having fixed targets which permit management team for monitoring the progress
and continuous development of staff members (Aveyard, 2014). Their main objective is to offer
person centred approach to those people who needed instant services by implementing this
framework at workplace. Apart from this, care home also requisite to follow some of the
necessary principles in order to make sure that every individual can acquired care in health and
social care practice is discussed as follows-

suffering from several diseases. As a manager, it is my duty for strictly monitoring the staff
members whether they are properly accomplishing their roles and responsibility or not. In fact,
for judging the whole situation I need to consider feedbacks of patients instantly in order to take
immediate improvements at workplace. By this strategy, frequent enhancement and changes can
suddenly made which helps in regaining the reputation of Care home.
Apart from this, as a manager I am also responsible for ensuring that I can provide equity
in provision of care, permission of accessing facilities which are provided by an organization,
financial support as well as liberal behaviour towards patients who are fully depend on us. Along
with this, number of other responsibilities are also identified which is followed by manager
which includes health care services. From all the obligation, foremost role is to make sure that
whether the users are receiving proper medical care as per their requirement or not. As, it’s a
most top most issue that must be considered as life and development of users is fully dependent
on medical care which is given to them by Care home professionals. Hence, role of manager not
only complete here but its extended to the nutritional diet which is given to patients, on time
cleanliness of rooms, maintenance of hygienic environment, ensuring the security of users at
considerable level and many more.
4.2 Own contribution in development and implementation of health and social care organization
policy
It is really significant that I am working in health and social care organization that is
practicing in a various range of settings. Basically, my role is very much crucial in development
and implementation of organizational policies in ICON residential care home. As a manager my
contribution is really very eminent by allowing other expertise for accomplishing their
responsibilities in best suitable manner. Additionally, as a manager of an association I have a
prime line of defence for preventing vulnerable population and managerial accountable for
assisting association policy associated with security of individuals. While protecting human
rights of customers I will be responsible for acquiring resources which is required for promoting
