1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The main principle behind the concept of successful project management is that it helps
in developing the project effectively with fewer errors. In this project the case study of Uber has
been considered so that it becomes easy to understand the aspects associated with the projects.
Hence from all this aspects it can be stated that there is a high need to manage the aspects
associated with project management so that it can ensure better performance towards the project.
With the help of proper knowledge it becomes easy to manage the activities within a project.
Throughout my module I have learnt different concepts that will help in managing the activities
associated with the project efficiently. The modules have helped to understand the main
principles that will help in conducting the project successfully. Before developing a project it
becomes essential to ensure that the project is being developed based on the requirements that
are described by the organization. There are several goals fixed for projects so that they can
operate according to the goals. While going through the modules I have learnt that there is a high
need to have a proper managmenet skill so that as a project leader I can address all the
requirements of the organization. In order to make a project beneficial it becomes essential to
ensure that the project is being developed in a way that it has the ability to focus on the success
factors.
The modules have taught me that there is a high need to understand the principles
associated with the project management. Proper knowledge related to project management helps
in completing the project. The project management principle needs to be implemented for the
planning phase so that the chances of errors can be minimized. The main benefit that I have
observed is that the concept related to project management has become very much clear to me
and now I am able to conduct a project that can be completed successfully with minimum errors.
The first module has described the importance of project management and project leaders. The

first module has taught the basic knowledge associated with the project management. These
lessons will help in understanding the project management concepts so that the execution can be
done effectively without any error. The second module has discussed the major principles that
effects the life cycle of project management. The different models are also described within these
learning modules. The project management is mainly divided into different parts that are
initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and last part is closing. The main
principle that is associated with the project management is that understanding the project
objectives and preparing the project based on the goals. Second important aspect is the budgeting
factor that is needed to be done effectively so that proper schedule can be estimated. The team
responsibilities are also needed to be addressed efficiently so that it becomes easy to manage the
responsibilities. Apart from this the milestones are needed to be defined effectively so that it can
ensure better performance. The module will help in understanding the concepts and will ensure
better performance throughout the module. Thus it can be stated that with the proper
understanding of project management principles it will become easy to understand the project
management concepts. While going through the assessment I have learnt that there are several
different standards that will help in performing the activities efficiently.
Apart from all this the third module was intended for the purpose of understanding the
exact project requirements and the initiation process that will help in executing the project. In
this module the focus is on the way portfolio is managed for the project manager. With the help
of proper project management skills it becomes easy to understand the concept. Moreover it is
observed that there is a high need to understand the way projects can be handled by the project
managers.

In addition to this it is important for the project manager to have a positive attitude that
will bring success to words the project. Throughout the model I have learnt that project leader
plays a vital role in the development process and it is the responsibility of project leader to assign
roles to other team members so that the project can be completed within the time and within the
budget provided by the client. With an effective communication it becomes easy to make
decisions that help in critical situation. Proper decision making is essential as it helps in
overcoming the situation and risks that are faced by the team members so that it can be processed
efficiently for a better future. The main reason behind using project portfolio method is to
analyze the activities effectively so that it can ensure proper completion of the project within
time. In addition to this project management involves an effective way of communication so that
it can ensure better processing and relationship between the stakeholders. Apart from this project
budgeting and planning also plays a major role as these are the key elements of the project.
Proper planning will ensure that the project is being completed by following the requirements
provided by the client and by maintaining a proper budget. It is important to deliver the project
within the budget so that the team does not feel any lag at the development process. Each person
in project management plays a crucial role and hence it is important to have a proper knowledge
regarding every step.
While developing a project it is important to ensure that the team is having an effective
communication process that helps in addressing all the issues faced by stakeholders and the main
members associated with the project. With the help of an effective communication plan it
becomes easy to address the issues this also helps in completing the projects within time. Thus a
proper relation can be maintained among the employees of the project. However apart from the
communication there is a high need to understand the project success and failure concepts. While

developing a project there is high chances that the project will fail, however it becomes essential
for each team members to work together in order to overcome this issues. The module fifth has
described the influence of team members in the success or failure of a project. Developing a
project is always a team work and thus it becomes essential to ensures that the project has been
executed with the involvement of each team member. This becomes the responsibility of project
leader to monitor the activities of team members. Poor control of the project members over the
team will eventually impact the performance of the project and will hamper the success rate.
Thus in order to have a successful project it becomes essential to ensure that the project leader is
equally involved with the project and takes high initi8iatrive for making the project successful.
The project leader is responsible to set the deadline and the project budget for the team members
so that they can work for achieving the target.
According to the learning material it is observed that there are different knowledge areas
associated with a project management that are needed to be addressed effectively while planning
a project. The key aspects are setting a proper project scope so that the project can set according
to the clients’ requirement and can be understood easily by the stakeholders. Next project
schedule management is needed to be done for the purpose of setting a proper project time that
will help in finishing the task within the given deadline. The cost management factor is basically
developed for maintaining a proper budget throughout the project development process. In
addition to this the project needs to have a proper risk management plan that will address all the
risks that are likely to come with the project and will have a greater influence. A proper this are
the key factors that are described within the learning module that will help in the project
development process.

The purpose behind learning the last module is that it has included the concept regarding
the subject review and the future projection. Hence I can state that throughout the whole model I
have successfully learned the basic concepts and techniques associated with the project
management. Moreover I have gained huge knowledge regarding the importance of an effective
communication plan. Thus I can state that with the help of these modules will be able to develop
a project successfully as I have gained a huge knowledge related to the principles of project
management.
Thus after analyzing the modules I can state that with the help of these learning materials
the project management skills has developed within me. This will help in future while
conducting a project. According to my learning I can state that a better project leadership quality
will help in addressing the needs of the project and will offer a better opportunity towards the
team mates.
