INTRODUCTION
Project management is the techniques of managing the project effectively so that the errors or any
issues can be identified and can resolve them easily. This report is created for the Priory group which
is the UK based health care organization which provides mental health care in the United Kingdom.
More than 500 sites and around 7,000 beds are operated by the Priory hospital and it is best known for
treating the celebrity who is addicted to drugs (Aveline and Dryden, 1988). The CEO of the Priory
group is the Tom Riall and founder this organization is Chai Patel who founded priory group in 1980.
It has the overall budget for the equipment cost of the mobile hoist is £100,000, an annual
maintenance contract is about £7,000 and for training include £500.00 for each person for a single
day. The suppliers with whom they are dealing with the equipment are not registered, suppliers.
This assignment is created for increasing the knowledge about the project management and also the
management of the risks. This report is divided into three tasks each task has some subtask. In task 1,
it will provide information about the triple constraints of the projects, the life cycle of the projects,
methodologies for the projects, Gantt chart, and work breakdown structure. Task 2 will provides the
information about the deliverables of the projects, risk assessment stages, strategies for the
management of the risks, mitigation strategies, contractual risk and the legal or the non-legal solution
for the unforeseen and foreseen risk. Task 3 provided brief information about the types of projects and
also the roles and responsibilities of the team members.

TASK 1
Priory Hospital
The Priory group is the UK based health care organization which provides the mental health care in
the United Kingdom. More than 500 sites and around 7,000 beds are operated by the Priory hospital
and it is best known for treating the celebrity who is addicted to drugs. The CEO of the Priory group
is the Tom Riall and founder this organization is Chai Patel who founded priory group in 1980

Use of Mobility Aids
Mobility aids are the devices which are very helpful for those people who face problem in moving
around and with the help of these devices they have great freedom and independence in moving
around. Priory hospital uses mobility aids for their patients who have a problem in waking. Their
many types of mobility aids used by the priory hospital like the canes (forearm canes, quad canes, and
white canes), crutches (platform crutches, axillary or underarm crutches and the lofstrand or forearm
crutches), walkers (Rollators, knee walkers and walker cane hybrids), wheelchairs, mobility scooters,
guide dogs, safety modifications like the ramps, handrails and stairs lifts etc. all these facilities are
provided by the priory hospital (Detterbeck, et. Al., 2016).
Technologies Devices
The technology used by the prior hospital are as follows: a certified and efficient EHR system, service
and surgical line technology, tablets and smartphones technology, hybrid operating rooms. The
organization also have telehealth tools, ultrasound imaging devices, technologies for detecting
infection.
Project Constraints
The project managers focus on the constraints of the project which include the cost, time and
scope of the projects. These three constraints used by the project manager known as the triple
constraints. For the success of any project it is essential for perfect completion of these three
constraints:

Scope: the scope of this project is to provide the new equipment for the Priory
group that is the mobile hoist for lifting the patients in and out from the bed.
Time: for the completion of the projects it will take around 90 days.
Cost: the equipment cost of the mobile hoist is £100,000, an annual maintenance
contract is about £7,000 and for training include £500.00 for each person for a
single day.

Life Cycle of Project and Approaches
There are four phases for the management of the project life cycle they are as follows:
1. Initiation Phase
It is the phase which includes those process which is essentials for staring the new projects.
The main purpose of this phase is to determine what actually project should achieve. There
are mainly two activities of these phases they are the identification of the stakeholder and the
second one is the developments of the project charter.
2. Planning Phase
The phase which has taken almost 50 % of the whole project is actually the planning phase of the
project. The planning phase is the phase which determines the objective of the project as well as the
scope of the project. Planning phase begins with describing the outputs of the initiations phase like the
preliminary scope, charter, and the project manager. Planning phase output works as the input for the
next execution phase (Heagney, 2016).
Work Break down Structure
For the success of any project work breakdown structure (WBS) plays a vital role or we can say it is
very important for the successful completion of the project. The work breakdown structure for the
implantation of the new technology that is the mobile aids in the priory organization which actually
the UK based organization which is responsible for the treatment of the celebrity adducted by the
drugs are categories into the three sub-portion: project proposal, project execution, and the testing and
the reviews for the new technology in the organization. The project proposal involves the subparts
like conducting the meeting with the suppliers, identifying the requirements for the mobile aids,
defining the aims and the objective of the new equipment, time and the budget of the project, quality
and the communication with suppliers and finalization of the project proposal (Detterbeck, et. Al.,
2016). For the subparts of the projects, execution involves team selection for the project, training of
the staff member to know more about the new equipment, resourcing of the projects and developing
the program for the project management. The last category comes the testing and the reviews in which
the test of the first mobile aids equipment are made, reviews given by the patients recorded, reviews
by the staff manager after using the equipment records and finally the implementation of the new
equipment in the organization.

3. Execution Phase
Those activities which have defined in the project management plan consist of the executing
phase. This process contains the coordinating with the resources and with people too,
managing expectations of the stakeholder and also includes the activities which are related to
the deliverables of the projects.
4. Closure Phase
At the end of the projects controlled shutdown of the projects managed by the closure phase. There
are generally three activities comes under the phase of closure as products closure projects closure and
closures of the resources which are behind the projects (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017). And the output
of the closure phases includes the OPAs updates and services transmission or the result transmission,
final outputs.

Projects Methodology
Projects management methodologies are the methodologies which help in the completion of the
projects step by steps. There are several methodologies for the management of the projects are as the
traditional approaches include the methodologies like waterfall, CPM (critical path methods), CCPM.

The agile methodology family includes the agile methodology, scrum methodology, Kanban
methodology, XP (extreme programming), APF (adaptive project framework) and some methodology
for the change management like the ECM (event chain methodology), XPM (extreme project
management). Some process-based methodology like the Lean, lean six sigma, six sigma. Some other
methodologies like the prince 2, a prism (Kerzner, 2017).

Methodology suitable for Project
The methodology suitable for the priory group for establishing the new technology, the mobile hoist is
IPM (integrated project management).
IPM (integrated project management)
IPM sometimes also called as integrated projects delivery. It has the components like change control,
project monitoring, project execution, project management plan, the scope of the project and the
project charter. The advantage of using this approach for this project is that it provides transparency
and accountability.

TASK 2
Projects Deliverables
The deliverables for the priory hospital projects is at the mobile hoist. The deliverable for the project
categorized into three parts. They are as follows:
1. An objective of the project: The objective of the project is to set up the new technology i.e
the mobile hoist in the priory hospital for the patients to move from in and out of the bed.
2. The primary deliverable: The primary deliverables is to collect the different parts of the
mobile hoist.
3. The secondary deliverables: the secondary deliverable of the project is to make proper
equipment and trained the staff member of the priory hospital to properly handle of the new
equipment’s.
Risk Assessment Stages
Risk assessment is the assessment of the risk which can arise during the completion of the projects
and causes harm to people. For the safety and the health management, the vital elements are none
other than the risk assessment (Miszkiewicz, 2015). Risk assessment is essential for any projects as it
protects works, business and also complying with the law.
There are generally five stages for the risk assessments and they are as follows:
1. Identification of the hazards
2. Identifying who is actually at the risk
3. Measured of risk and also determining its control
4. Recording of the findings
5. Reviews and updating if needed
Stage 1: Identification of the hazards
The hazards for stabilizing the mobile hoist in the priory organization will be like the selection of the
wrong types of the host for the patients can cause major damage. Safety belts attached to the mobile
hoist.
Stage 2: Identifying who is actually at the risk
Due to not properly handling of the mobile hoist it will seriously damage to the patient who is using it
and the nurse or the compounder who is with the patient while using the mobile hoist
Stage 3: Measured of risk and also determining its control

The likelihood of this type of risk can be very likely. The risk potential severity of this hazards can
cause minor cuts or major damage or even can cause death. These types of hazards or the risk can be
control by providing personal protection or just by eliminating the hazards.
Stage 4: Recording of the findings
It is very essential for keeping the written records of the findings which were made according to the
Irish safety and health legislation (Nicholas, 2017). It is very important to keep the result of the
finding very simple so, it will be easy to understand by the other peoples. It will be very nice if the
date and name be mentioned in the assessment.
Stage 5: Reviews and updating if need
If there are significant changes then it is important to review and for this, it will be good if the written
records have the review date just every 12 months. If there are significant changes then do it before
this date mentioned and if needed also update the risk assessment which was made.

Strategies for Risk Management
It is necessary for the successful establishment of any project to make strategies for managing the risk
found while doing the project. There are generally six strategies for the management of the risk I the
organization. They are as follows:
1. Planning of the risk: For the management of the risk it is important to plan it first and after
making the planning next go to identifying the risk developed while setting up the new
equipment in the hospital.
2. Identifying the risk: Risk can also be easily managed if identified first. So, firstly for the
management of the risk, it is important to find the risk. The risk of establishing the new
technology in the priory group can be a technical risk while doing the setup for the mobile
hoist, cost risk, environmental risk and also the risk of the people.
3. Analyzing should be made for risk qualitative: After analyzing the risk it is also important
to analyze the qualitative risk while establishing the mobile hoist in the hospital.
