The Mission Statement: Enhancing community-safety, lower crime rates, aid the victims to live
a positive life through offender-accountability and rehabilitation programs.
Vision Statement: To be the leading pro-active and most- the innovative agency that helps in
changing lives among criminals and advocating for a law-abiding lifestyle.
Everyone belongs to a community and the society needs security, peace, and justice at all
times. Within the community, crimes occur every now and again. It’s the people amongst us who
commit crimes either through calculated moves or unknowingly. While bonds between the
agency and the community are becoming stronger, there are requirements that the community
must meet for better operations (Miller, 2018).
Five needs that the probation agency would require the community to meet.
Information sharing
The community must share information with the agency to facilitate the identification of
criminals who need services like rehabilitation, counseling and other important social services
for them to change for the better(Bowker,2013).
Cooperation
The community must be willing to join hands with the agency to fight together in ending
criminal acts and fostering a justice and law-abiding society. Through cooperation, a social
network will be created and this will aid in curbing re-offenders (Hepworth & Hepworth, 2015).

Identification of intellectual problem-solvers.
Through the partnership between the community and the probation agency, the society
needs to identify the intellectual problem solvers who will be aiding in handling social, health
and physical problems faced by offenders.
Supporting the specialized-enforcement
In the community, there are chiefs, community policing groups, human rights groups
among other specialized enforcement. These groups are meant to create an environment free of
fear and need to be supported by the community and the agency.
Accepting the corrections made by the agency
The society should welcome education about criminality, justice, and law abiding. If the
community won't accept the role played by the probation agency then it will be a difficult task
for probation goals to be met as the community may react against protecting its people who are
criminals ( Pycroft & Gough, 2016).
How the agency can ensure the community meets the requirements and how I would sell
the agency
One of the strategies that will enable us to meet our needs is to equip ourselves with enough
tools that can drive the process. Allocating enough funds for the task and have expertise in the
field. The community-partner can meet our requirements by getting enough education on the
importance of security, morals, justice, and peace and training plus awarding those who have
proved to be good partners. I would sell our agency in public meets political rallies, church

congregations, rehabilitation centers, funerals and in media through live conversations programs
and publications.
