INTRODUCTION
Skill audit is an assessment through which all the research and knowledge are covered in
a systematic manner. It helps in providing the developing competence through which all the
close analysis is managed and identified. Probation officer is a supervisor who seeks all the
meetings and the supervision in probation period through which all the officials are
managed(Kend and Nguyen, 2020). This report will cover a skill audit of a probation officer
about all the analysis and their working strengthen and weakness.
TASK
Probation Officer is an important positioned officer who use to manage and supervise all
the offenders and their concerns and desires. It focus on managing all the concerned areas as
being the productive members in the community. It involves criminal justice system through
which all the critical analysis and the community is protected. As for being the probation officer
there are some important skills which are required they are like: Communication skill which is mainly the interaction between the individuals and their
effectively transmitting the ideas either in oral and written manner. This provides all the
interactions between the supervisors and the criminals regarding their needs and other
effect(Khalid, Haron and Masron, 2018). Research skill- This is mainly the skill in which all the collections of evidence and
records with relevant information is made. Counselling and techniques- This skill is mainly where the supervisor guides or
provide effective suggestion to the person regarding the work and also manages to
provide all techniques and ideas through work and management(Tang, Norman and
Vendrzyk, 2017). Strong writing and Computer techniques- The probation officer should have all the
knowledge about IT and general computer work and management. Interpersonal skill- This is mainly the decision making, problem solving and all the
critically evaluating skill that helps in managing all the effective strategy for the
probation officer while dealing with the criminals(Armitage, 2018).

Criminal investigating experience- This involves all the investigation as about the
person in prison and all about daily working pattern.
Skill Audit
As while analysing the skills for the probation officer I realised the major skills strength
and weakness in my behaviour as for being the officer in future. So I developed a skill audit in
which all the details about my personal interventions are given. In this 1 stands for poor, 2 and 3
are for average 4 is for moderate generated skill and 5 is for excellent knowledge of skills. The
major skills are mentioned thereunder:

CONCLUSION
From this above report it is concluded that, skill audit is merely an assessment through
which the personal analysis can be made of an individual and this will help out to manage and
implicate all the effective work and their organisational growth and major working. Their is been
seen that probation officer requires so many skills like communication, inter personal, research
and counselling techniques.
