INTRODUCTION
Problem solving and decision-making skill is very important in every manager and leader in
the organisation to understand the issue and make it more effective in order to fulfil the needs
and demands of company (Espeland and et.al., 2018). Through this skill it will improve the
employee satisfaction. In this it is being discussed about the complex problem in the workplace
and analyse its identified problems and using appropriate decision making technique. Apart from
formulating the PESTLE analysis and solution for the problem.
TASK 1
Nature and impact of complex problem on organisation
In the organisation the problem that has been faced by the employees is that they do noy
have the fingerprint clock in and out and leads to many problems to many workers as it does not
shoe the actual working hours. This problem is quite serious as this increase the problems of
employees to show the proof to the management. Apart from the problem is that they were
underpaid and not getting whole salary.
Impact of these problem on performance of company are as follows-
This will reduce the overall efficiency in the organisation as employees were dissatisfy
from the management and will not doing their task effectively.
Employees were feel demotivated and will not put their all efforts in the company and
will create negative environment in the organisation.
They will loose the interest and start leaving the company and will put adverse impact on
the performance of the organisation.
Cause and effect analysis of complex problem
This analysis includes two key steps that are looking backwards and looking forwards. This
analysis can be use to solve this problem in following way-
In looking backward, this problem can be solved in the previous and identify it
thoroughly in order to maintain it. Such as fingerprint clock is being installed in previous
and than replicate its positive outcome to evaluate its efficiency (Koppenjan, Koppenjan
and Klijn, 2004).
Looking into future and make effective planning. For complex problem like fingerprint
clock, if it is will be used in the company then it is essential to overview the unforeseen

activities and it will add cost to the management. This will help in proper recording of
every one presence and employees can use it on their own basis according to their
convenience.
PESTLE Analysis of complex problem
Political factor- This factor is impacting the political issues of the country as this in the UK only
41% of employees is happy and that will effect the complex problem.
Economical factor- This factor concern with the economical related issues that will impact the
company. As, UK is lag behind the happiness in the workplace and productivity among all
countries.
Social factor- This includes taste and behaviour of the customer. In the UK, as employees were
unhappy during their work and feel demotivated and that somewhere it impact the complex
problem in the company also. As, this also reduces the productivity in the company.
Technological factor- This refers to having low innovation and technology also leads to
problem and not providing efficient technology-based services to them also create problem.
Legal factor- This concern with paying them equal and fair salary comes under this factor. As
this is the one of the problems that employees were unpaid and not getting proper salary.
Environmental factor- This involve providing sustainable and eco-friendly services to them so
that they could work effectively.
Evaluation of alternative solution to the problem
Ways to evaluate the problem-
Company can installed the fingerprint clock in and out in the premise so that it could
effectively record the working hours of all employees.
Making appropriate system to examine the everyone working hours and no problem
could arise during this.
Provide them employee id card through that they can scan it on time and reduce the
issues of entry and exit time.
Provide them full information about the salary and accordingly credited in their account
(Proctor, 2018).
Demonstration of implementation of plan
Company can demonstrate in following way-

Taking the advise from the employees and will help in taking the effective steps in the
company.
Educate them about the system that will be used in the company as will help in proper
implementation of system.
Formulate the backup plan of the system that has been used so that it will not hinder the
management (Yuan and et.al., 2021).
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that problem and decision-making skill is very important
to effectively fulfil the productivity in the organisation. It is being discussed about the nature and
impact of problem and evaluate the alternative solution to the problem. Apart from demonstrate
how it will plan to choose the solution.
