1. Description of positive and negative location factors for each of these businesses
a. A pizza delivery service
Pizza is a popular choice for many consumers, however, simply opening a pizza shop does
not guarantee success. There are various major success aspects which have to come together
in a pizza business to determine if the business will turn a good profit. Some of the positive
location factors include accessibility. Each pizza business is supposed to be easily accessible
to its consumers (Weinzimmer, and Nystrom, 2016, p. 3). Accordingly, sites which are hard
to get into and out of negatively influence the opportunity to boost customer counts and could
also discourage return business. A negative factor that could affect a pizza business is lack of
parking. However, the lack of parking is a kiss of death to the business since nowadays
customers demand to park regardless of whether the business is situated on the street or on-
site.
b. A sports club 24/365
Sport and physical activity in built-up regions is a positive aspect in the sense that built up
areas will tie more individuals to the region where they live. As a result, this will help to
decline ecologically harmful traffic volumes. However, locating the business in built-up areas
could interfere with traffic.
c. A plant making labels for plastic bottles
The positive aspect with the plant making labels for plastic bottles is that they should be
made from polyethylene terephthalate commonly referred to as PET. The significance with
PET is that it is light in weight, shatterproof and economical. Indeed, this type of bottles can
be recycled. In order to affect the recycling of these bottles the plant can use a curbside
collection to recycle the bottles (Hurd, 2017, p. 4). Generally, the curbside recycling program
is a convenient method for the community people to take part in a program to achieve high

recovery rates. However, this method of recycling may not be effective because some
members of the community will collect these bottles with other garbage. Certainly, as such
practices would result in interference with the surrounding community environment.
2. Three possible sites for opening a dental clinic
Indeed, selecting the right location for any business is the most significant aspect that is
expected by a dentist professional and some of the factors include convenience for patients,
practicing growth potential and practice visibility (Paul III, 2017, p. 55).
Convenience for patients: It is important for the dental clinic to consider the convenience of
its location for accessibility by its patients and parking. The location of the dental clinic is
supposed to have sufficient parking facilities (Seale, and Casamassimo, 2013, p. 1631).
Subsequently, easy access to parking makes it easier for healthcare to be in a better position
to hire and retain staff, which also minimises expenses related to employee turnover.
Practice growth potential: The dental clinic is as significant as the physical location of is
practice. The clinic should consider if space is spacious enough to meet its needs in relation
to its short-term and long-term plans. Therefore, the premise should find out if there is room
for expansion of its services. Accordingly, getting a dental clinic with enough space allow the
business to meets its growth requirements.
Practice visibility: The location of the dental clinic provides a worthwhile exposure and
marketing opportunity.
