Ongoing professional development is the term that is being used for learning and getting
knowledge on continuous basis while doing training or doing any professional course. It is very
important for developing skills and knowledge for the future course of action. This helps in
improving standards of an employee in the Hilton hotel as compared to others. This will help in
maintaining interest of an employee so that it can learn new things every day and can implement
it in professional life (Cruess Cruess and Steinert, 2016). It also helps in increasing confidence
as when it gets chance to speak in front of the public so if it has knowledge then it will be able to
speak confidently. Similarly, self directed learning is also important as it helps in enhancing
active participation of employees in the company. This helps in building decision making,
planning and problem solving skills that will be help in getting more career opportunities in the
future. Continuous professional development and self directed learning will help in enhancing
identity and more growth in the near future. These type of learning will help in improving skills
that will be needed for achieving success and building more confidence to compete in the
business.

Job role is regarding HR manager of Hilton hotel. It must have organizational skills to
manage all the activities in the company for achieving objective of the company (Salifu and
Agbenyega, 2016). It is important to have good communication skills as an HR manager so that
it will be able to select best candidate for the company that will be suitable according to the job
role that company is offering
Competencies that is needed for professional development is that it will be able to build teams in
that every member will take active participate for growth of the company. Trust among the
employees plays an important role in the company that will improve working as well as
employee engagement. In this job role it is important to have ability to learn every day new
things so that it will improve capability to grasp easily (Roulston, Cleak and Vreugdenhil, 2018
). Approach that is being used in learning includes both formal and informal learning that is
being used to enhance more skills and knowledge that is necessary for future growth in the
company. Learning never ends as at every moment helps in learning new thing that will be

Being a HR at Hilton hotel an interview is being conducted in that following questions

By conducting an interview these questions were asked to candidates and the following
strength and weakness can be analysed through this as it is a service sector that is growing at the
fast pace in present scenario as it will be its strength and the weakness is that it is expanding
everyday so it needs innovation after a certain period of time (Mackay, 2017). Due to this
operation cost will increase and growth will also become slows down.
At the time when I went their I found that all the arrangements will be good and each and
every candidate is calling for interview in series wise so that there may not occur any confusion.
After sometime when its chance to declare result it will take more time to announce and at that
time due to some technical problem work gets disturbed and it will become challenging to
handle that condition.
