INTRODUCTION
The professional skill developing portfolio is a collection of information related to
personal talent presentation (Changwong, Sukkamart and Sisan, 2018). The skills which are
developed while performing professional activities and academic skill's development portfolio is
presenting the academic skills which are enhanced in the academics. This report will evaluate the
self reflection related to the learning of skills during the module and my action plan is being
explained.
MAIN BODY
Reflection on learning and development
During this module I have learned different types of skills and also get vital information
regarding the business and its best manner to perform. I learn to coordinate in the team and
perform with the best potential for long-term (Laguador, Chavez-Prinsipe and De Castro, 2020).
During this nodule there are different situations where is had to take quick decision so with that
my decision-making is also get improved. Earlier I feel less confident while speaking in public
yet after involving in this module there are many situations where I have to communicate with
large number of people as well in the groups as well. I also came to know which personality did I
have and which are my strength and the respective weakness in me. I found that how a strong
mind is helpful in doing things in easy manner. My analytical and critical skill is also get
enhanced because earlier I am not able to think both the aspects of doing something. By doing
this module there are different transferable skills are developed which will help me always in my
future for better growth and garbing opportunities. I have become more creative in perform any
task or duty, frequently adapting the new things also able to manage my time to perform the task.
Personal approaches to learning and development
My approaches to know my learning and development are in different manners and by using
different analysis and framework. My potential can be analysis by the help of SWOT analysis.
SWOT stands for strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for me (Teoli and An, 2019).
Strength: As the business and management required different types of knowledge and skills, so I
am more creating as well as innovative in performing the things. I can adapt the changes easily
and being more confident in the things which uses to perform. My communication skills are
being more effective and efficient to know and present the things easily to others.

Weaknesses: one of the main weakness includes lower patient level as I am not having patient
while performing any things. When the decision are to be make by me then I got nervous at that
time and become more conscious. I am not able to lead group of people effectively.
Opportunities: to improve my written communication as this will help me in presenting my
thoughts more efficiently. Any other opportunity for me is to engage in such module which help
in learning the academic skills and professional skills as well. This will also help me to improve
my self-confidence.
VAK model
This the help of this framework there are three methods which are assisting in deciding
for the most suitable method that is to be applied in the work. Three methods are visual, auditory
and kinaesthetic so from all of these methods I found that in my module the auditory method is
being more perfect and suitable for me. The reason behind selecting this method of learning and
developing my skill is that I used to listen to the individual person who is sharing the information
in the lecture room. I am also interested in the topic which are discussed during this module and I
also learn different skill by listening and questioning to the teachers (Mezirow, 2018).
The deep learning refers to the learning habit that an individual person have to analysis a
particular topic in percentage of in-depth knowledge. Basically the learning can be divided into
two category deep learning and surface learning and after involving in module I tend to take deep
learning as this approach is smilier to my situation. Yet the surface learning is not depth learning
it is just to complete the task there is no transferable skills developed in that. So deep learning is
favourable manner to learn to know more about the same topic. This assist me to put my best
potential in the studies to get most appropriate knowledge out of my studies.
Skills that is developed by this module
There are number of skills which are being developed in me while in the module and these skills
are also the transferable as well:
Decision-making skill: This skill is one of the most useful skill that is had analysis during this
module as this skill is required by me at every stage of people (Schaller, 2018). The professional
and academic both the profession needs this skill. In this module there are different situations
where I have to make my decision and all the team is depended on me. In this course I found that

self decision are needed at every point without an effective decision an individual can not grow
and enhance effectively.
Team-working skill: through this module I was able to work with the team and achieve the
common goal together. Earlier I can not able to work in the team and if I do my work gets
hamper and delay in the work are common. In this module the team are constructed and all the
work is done with the team member so this assist me to perform better in the team and enhance
my skill as well (Apipah, 2018).
Analytical and critical thinking skill: with the help of this module my critical thinking get
more effective because in thay module we have assigned different types of task where critical
thoughts are required, so I also engaged in those activities and my thinking skill get improved.
Skills which I want to develop in academic and personal life
The skills which I want to develop in me while studying in academic are:
Ability to plan: It is being important aspect to plan effectively for the future activities and steps
which are to be taken in the near future (Esteva and et. al., 2019). With a good planning an
individual can get competitive advantages and many more benefits. Planning also assist in better
utilization of resources and helpful in getting skills.
Communication skill: In the current world the communication has been most common skill in
the all the individual yet this is the skill which provide an opportunity to gain competitive
benefits when communication get better. In the professional and personal life the role of
communication is very vital so as business and management student I know the effects of
effective communication.
Leadership skill: I will also develop my leading skill because it is very important to have
leadership quality because in the professional life there are different situations where we have to
lead the people (Changwong, Sukkamart and Sisan, 2018). When I will putted in a team and I
will be as leader then I must know the aspects to lead the group of people together.
