INTRODUCTION
The term business management can be defined as the managerial process through which
all the activities of the business is being operated in the organisation. There are various strategies
that can be applied in order to achieve the efficient business management. The professional skills
are related to a particular profession. These are the abilities that effects the operations of an
individual in an organisation(Alshahrani, 2020). The instances of the professional skills are
communication skills, good personality, listening skills, writing skills, ethics, Etc. which should
be possessed by an individual who is an expert professional. This report would explain about the
concept and importance of the academic and professional skills. It would also outline the
analysis of SWORT of an individual professional.
Challenges of Studying a Business Management and thriving in professional practice
The selection of business management in building a career on its own has various
benefits just after completing the graduation or post graduation. These merits includes the
potential of high income, ready current job market, etc. on the other hand, there are various
challenges that has to be faced during the study of business administration. Some of the major
challenges that the students are facing are given as follows-
 Connecting with fresh individuals: It is one of the vital challenge that an individual
generally face. This is because the individuals has to meet totally new people and they
have to mix up with them. In general, it is very difficult for an introvert to mix up with
the new people in an organisation(Bremner, Laingand and Scott, 2019).
 Managing the time: The management of time is the main task for the pupil of the
business management. This is because the students has to manage between studies and
working. They have to join the classes on time on the regular basis. Along with this, they
also have to join the internship programmes in the given time. Moreover, the students are
also required to give proper time to self studies in order to increase the learning process
in the organisation.
 Adjusting and balancing: The students has to adjust to a different place. This is because
the pupil generally relocate from their home town to the city where their college is
situated. These would also include that a required time and effort is necessary to the
students in order to balance between the personal and the college life of the students.

Importance of Academic Skills
The academic skills are being developed during the academics studies in an individual.
This is a need by which all the individuals develop the learning skills in them. This helps the
individual in increasing the knowledge of an individual. The importance of the academic skills
are written below-
 Improves learning: It allows the student to learn things expeditiously. This would
enhance the wider concepts of management in the minds of the individuals. The increase
in cognition of an individual would help the individual in remembering the basic
concepts fort the longer period of time.
 Public talking: It can promote the pupils to speak up in between the group of
individuals. This would be more beneficial for the introvert people as they would learn to
mix up with the other people in an organisation(Dacre, Senyoand and Reynolds, 2019).
 Creativity: It would increase the creativity in the individuals. This is because different
activities in academics would aid the person to increase their level of creativity in less
period of time.
 Time management: The individuals learn to manage the time by these skills. The pupil
divides their time for learning, attending classes and other activities by making an
efficient time table for it. Moreover, one can learn how to negotiate time. Hence, it can
balance the things that they want to do different from the academics like travelling,
family plans, etc.
 Critical thinking: This would also increase the level of critical thinking in the minds of
the individuals. Moreover, it would also increase the effective decision making in the
cognition of an individual. The individuals would learn to analyse the present situation by
creating a difference between the key points and demerits on a particular subject matter.
 Writing skills: The writing skills of an individual are very important part in academic
skills. This is because a good command on writing would increase the marks of the
students in the exam. Moreover, it would also help the individuals in conveying its ideas
to the other people. The writing skills can also be improved by doing the assignments in
the course of study which is being opted by the individual.

Importance of Professional Skills
The professional skills are needed to be formulated as it has a basic value for a job seeker
in any of the field of market. This would aid the individual in obtaining a particular job in the
organisation. Some of the major importance of these skills are being discussed below as follows-
 Communication: The communication is the process through which a person can convey
its own ideas to other people. So, there is a great demand for good communication skills
in an individual. These skills are being seen by the companies who is hiring the
personnel for its administration. So, by studying the subject of business management an
individual can develop the communication skills to a greater level(Liu and Pullinger,
2021).
 Time management: The time is a very important part in everyone's life. So, it requires a
proper management. The study of the business management would also aid the
individual in managing its time in the most effective way. Moreover, the time
management is the professional skill that is needed in every field of education.
 Leadership: The leadership skill is very necessary for every leader in an organisation.
These skills helps the leader to lead the team in the most effectual manner. It also
requires that the individuals have to work in an organisation in order to increase their
leadership skills for its growth and development.
 Motivating: The motivation is the key point in all the organisation. This is because the
motivation encourages the individuals to complete the task in a given period of time
which is assigned to him. There are also different motivational theories that can be used
by the organisations to encourage their team members.
Personal SWOT
This is the analysis of my strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. All my strengths
and weaknesses are discussed below-
Strength
 Punctuality in time. I accomplish all the
assigned tasks in the given time period.
 Team Work. I am comfy at employed
in team(May, et.al, 2022).
Weakness
 Public Speaking skills. I like a bit
nervous while talking in front of public.
 Presenting skills. Because of fear in
speaking publicly.

Opportunity
 Writing skills. I can better it by doing
more projects.
 Creativity skills. It it crucial to think
fictive and work creative.
Threat
 High competition. There are many
individuals who are more creative and
are capable to work expeditiously.
 Lack of skills.
Action Plan
This is the planning of what endeavor I am going to do, how I would get over with the
weaknesses.

This report concludes about the concept of the business management. This would also
summarise about the professional skills and the academic skills that must be posses by an
individual. This report would also explain about the importance of the professional skills in an
individual. Moreover, this report would also summarise about the person strength and
weaknesses of the individual. Later, this report discusses about the ways through which the
individual can cope up with its weaknesses in an organisation.
