Introduction
• Professional skills are combination of soft skills that help
professional to become better and develop as effective leader at
work place.
• Professional skill contains the ability to resolve the conflicts into the
office premises and make teams for personal growth as well as
business profit (Aubakirova and Zeinullina, 2019).
• Academic skills refer to the study habits including the learning
strategies which help students to learn school lessons.

Challenges of studying business management
• New Environment – Many students face problem in adjusting to
new surroundings.
• Financial expenses – Business management institutes charge
high course fee comparatively to other courses.
• Connect with others – Various students gets difficulty in
connecting with other people while moving to new surroundings.
• Team work – Students some time face the barrier of doing work
as a team.

The importance of effective academic skills development
• Academic skills gives a direction to the emerging students to
manage their studies and workings in effective way. Being a
students to manage their time is major task and academic skill
help students in improving their time management skill.
• It also provides the improved and effective learning source to its
students and help them in achieving their goals to become a
professional in their career (Calicchio, 2020).

STRENGTHS
Quick learning attitude – As a student I have strong
learning skills that would help me in my future
professional growth as career opportunities.
WEAKNESSES
Focus – As a student it is difficult to make concentration
on single thing and this was my weakness and needs to
be improved. It includes the change in behaviour and
sometimes lower the confidence level and demotivate
from inside (Qunduz and Ivanovna, 2021).
OPPORTUNITY
Team leadership – With effective leadership skill, it bring the
opportunity to handle the team or group of members in more
efficient way. This can be a growth opportunity to my career
and improves the quality of work life in between.
THREATS
Communication skills – This was my negative point as I
don't have good communication skill. These skills are must
in every management personal. Bad communication will
guide towards the misunderstanding and creates confusion.

• From the above presentation, it has been concluded that professional and academic skills play important role
in developing their career growth opportunities. In this presentation it evaluates the different challenges that a
student will have to face during their study of business management.
• It also specifies the strategies to overcome these barriers in professional growth. Further in this presentation,
it explores the importance of both academic and professional skills.
• In the last of this presentation, it has SWOT analyses which helps them to illustrate their weaknesses and
strengths. These weakness was improved with the help of action plan in the last.
