The first organization is Baltimore association of black journalists(BABJ). BABJ empowers
African American media experts to: teach youthful people intrigued working with regards to media,
extend and balance the media's inclusion of the African American people group, help in expert
advancement, and keep up a nearness of African American media experts in the work environment
(Dickel, Hörisch, & Ritter, 2018). BABJ's motivation is to advance the association of African
Americans in media. You must be a working or full-time freelance journalist to join BABJ. The
main benefit of joining BABJ is attending of meetings, workshops and events free of charge. Other
non members are charged from $5. The BABJ Facebook page is restricted to the members only.
This is where they post jobs, freelance and internship opportunities. You need to pay $40 per year
for professional
membership.
The second organization is Maryland Association of CPAs. MACPA's core mission is to
enable individuals to associate in vital ways, protect their expert advantages, and achieve in their
vocations. MACPAs ensures that there are returns in all parts of the business you do. Members have
access to specific segments dependent on training region or expert interests. They also participate
in occasions where they can grow their business contacts, and hence, the whole business.
The two organizations have a lot of benefits as compared to my interest in the organization. I
will get exposed to internship and freelancing positions available. Also through association with
other members, I will gain a lot of knowledge through sharing of their experiences(Kopaneva, Sias,
