honors. I would like to develop my knowledge, experience and understanding of the IT sector
and make a strong start of my IT Systems Administrator role. The knowledge and experience I

3. Analysis of the required skills
From the above required skills, I possess most of them starting with having finished my
undergraduate degree of Computer Science with honors in which I have gained knowledge
concerning the IT industry. I have also gained the relevant skills and experience of IT during my
previous internship. This has helped me learn, develop and enhance the necessary skills and

knowledge in understanding of Firewall, Web filters, VoIP systems, Virtualization platforms,
and network infrastructure. Additionally, I have developed knowledge and skills in dealing with
multiple operating systems, software build systems like Hudson and custom scripting. I have
blended my knowledge, skills and experience with excellent spoken and written English.
I have lacked experience of management since I have never held any managerial role apart
from team working. (Topan, 2016)
4. Plans for enhancing my skills
For every employee is usually and always aims at developing and growing in his/her career,
which especially can be measured in terms of managerial position he/she holds in the entire
hierarchy system of a company. Therefore, I need to grow and develop in terms of leadership and
management skills and experience. This I can gain by, one being actively involved in teamwork
activities especially by expressing some leadership skills, and also having a significant output in
the organization by meeting and exceeding the set targets and timelines. Secondly, I will need to
have on-job studying, in which I will have to join a recognized college in Australia like Open
colleges to pursue a diploma or certificate for the one of the management-related courses.
Combining the two strategies will help me in developing, advancing and growing my
management, leadership and team-building skills and knowledge. This will help me to have a
potential of securing and attaining a managerial position in my prospective employment.
Moreover, I will also look forward on improving the knowledge and skills I already have.
This will be by doing the necessary and relevant short professional courses like data analytic
course. I will also merge this by interacting with experienced persons who are experts/specialists
in different fields of IT. (Job-Interview-Site, 2018)
5. Long-term career goals
In the long-term, First, I will help my current employer to become the most valuable
company and best service provider hence achieving its business targeted goals. With my creative
talents I will help my employer to achieve innovative results, supersede the competition and
never to accept second-best status.
Secondly, hopefully I can become one of the top senior managers in the company like
being the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or become one of the most successful consultants
running my own firm. I believe this can be achieved by having and maintaining good cordial
relationship with other employees hence demonstrating leadership and management skills. For
the consultation, it can be best achieved by building and maintaining strong client relationships.
