Subject: Courteous communication to enhance work relationships
Hi James,
This email intends to highlight the communication issue that I faced with you today morning.
I was appalled by your behaviour this morning when you ignored my “Good morning” wish.
I assume it is common courtesy to reply warmly to a wish. Though I understand that you
were running late to work and might have been under stress to make it on time, but this does
not give you the liberty of ignoring someone and spoiling others’ mood by being rude. Since
I was at the receiving end, I found your behaviour impolite and disrespectful. If you want to
establish good working relationships at the workplace, it is advisable to be polite and
courteous with everyone. Such rude and impolite behaviour sends out negative vibes at the
workplace and reflects you as an arrogant person. Others might perceive you as
unapproachable and cold which would directly impact the morale of those working with you
and even those who may be in your close vicinity but different department. I want to have a
face-to-face meeting with you on this issue at 3:00pm in the meeting room number C4 on the
second floor.
Please reply to this email to confirm your availability for the meeting. I hope we are able to
resolve this issue in the meeting and look forward to establish healthy working relationship in
future.
Regards,
Sarah, Front Desk Manager
