INTRODUCTION
Professional construction manager is referred as the site manager who is required to
supervise and direct the various operations related to the construction. They involved in the
project at the very early phase so that they can help in the preliminary planning of the project.
The aim behind this report is to provide an understanding of the importance of professional
construction manager in the organization.
This report contains the various functions of the Professional Construction Manager that
are project management, cost management, administration of contract, safety management on the
site these are the function that is being performed by the manger. This report also explains the
different role of the construction Manager that they manage the risk of the site, draft the
contracts, set the goals for all the individual who are involved in the construction of project.

Functions of a Professional Construction Manager
Professional construction manager have the duty of supervising and giving the direction
to perform various kinds of operations within the building. There are various stage involve in the
functions of professional construction manager. According to the CIOB, the main function of the
construction manager are such as – give advice, successful delivery of the project and ensure the
quality of the project in order to make client satisfied. They come in the process in the very early
stage so that they can do help to the client at very early or in the preliminary planning. They help
in various aspects of construction such as selection of architect and contractor. Various function
perform by the Professional Construction Manager are as follows -

place so need to maintain the safety hazards for the all the people that no one can harm, so in this
construction manager need to ensure the correct way that no accident can take place. He must be
ensured about that all the work meets the legal requirement related to the building regulation.
Contract Administration : All the extensive contracts from the client are being the part of the
project construction process. Provisions of the contract must met and ensure that all the parties
that are being involved is satisfied (Bilbo and et.al., 2015).
