Concept of professional and personal development
The concept of professional and personal development helps in managing various activities
relating to enhancing the capability of an individual in learning and growth throughout respective
career of an individual (Debognies and et. al., 2019). It becomes important for an individual to
develop and keep skills up to date with changing trends in the world.
Describe value of short term goals by identifying at least 3 personal examples
By setting up of a goal or a target is an important aspect, that provides proper management
of efforts of an individual for completion of given task (PLANNING, 2018). The short term goal
refers to various activities undertaken to plan every inch of efforts in relation to successfully attain
respective goal in the near future (MacCosham and Gravelle, 2017). Normally the duration of such
types of goals vary from 3-5 months. Setting up of short term goals breaks a long task into short
goals and allows performer to keep himself boosted and motivated towards completion of desired
objectives.
My short-term goals are as follows:
Improving my learning skills
Management of time
Performing researches on subject matter
Describe value of medium term goals by identifying at least 3 personal examples
The time duration of such goals are generally 6-12 months. These types of goals acts like a
bridge between short term and long term goals. They ensure better efficiency of work is being
produced by an individual while performing or approaching to any allotted task (DiPaola and
Wagner, 2018). It helps in monitoring up of various tasks and activities being performed in short
term goals and assures that all activities are up to date with time and are being produced with
effective utilisation of available resources (Tattum and Tattum, 2017).
My medium-term goals are as follows:

Develop professional researching skills

Long term goals refer to various goals sets up to accomplish a given task and will take
significant amount of time and efforts for its completion (Etkin, 2019). It could be preparing for
final examination or any objectives which will occur in past for a long period of time. It should be
considered while making long term goals that it may not become boring or hectic (Van Wingerden,
Derks and Bakker, 2017).
