1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Personal development basically includes the development of the
competencies and development of the necessary skills for the purpose to grow in the
competitive job market. In order to make a successful career it is very important to
acquire and learn new skills in order to contribute for the purpose of performing
operations in a effective and efficient ways and different methods. In order to
develop, a personal development plan is prepared that will help an individual to work
upon the weaker areas for the purpose to ensure future growth. In this report it will
include the reflection which will further involve the opportunities for the personal
career development. The report will further involve the importance of enhancement
of the professional and academic skills for the objective to attain growth in the
business management field. It further include the measures taken during
implementation of the changes in the future(Castillo and et.al., 2018).
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed
by attending this module
Academic Skills: It basically involves the skills which are essential for a good
student. Such academic skills involves the learning, presentation, project making,
time management and various other skills. Throughout my learning I was able to
develop academic skills that helped me to attain a good score in the institute.
Through development of academic skills I was able to easily prepare my reports and
presentations in a well structured and manner and report. Through academic skills I
was able to deliver my presentations in a effective and efficient manner and also
helped in creating better opportunities(Jensen, 2019)
Communication Skills : During my module I was able to build up better
communication skills as these skills helped me to communicate in a effective way.
Communication skills helped me to become a quick learner and also helped in
becoming a better professional in future. Through my communication skills I was
able to put up a positive impact on other people through my remarkable
communication skills.
Professional Skills: These are the skills which I already have developed and these
skills help me to grow in a job role or organization. It is basically a competency or a
habit that will affect the overall performance of the individuals. It becomes easy to be
a profession with the desired capabilities. Through professional skills, I could make a
unique identity of my own and which will help me to compete with my peers and
grabbing opportunities for a higher performance in a effective and efficient manner.
These skills will not only help me in enhancing my overall competencies as a
professional but will also help in growing in my current job(Lin and Magnuson, 2018)

Time management skills: It basically involves two terms “Time” and
Management”. This skill is something I would like to develop during workplace,
personal life and academic skills. With the help of developing right time management
skills I could easily prepare a proper and fixed schedule that will help me to complete
my assigned tasks in a efficient and effective manner. These skills will also me in
creating a positive influence on the peers and seniors at my workplace.
Professional skills: It basically involves the identification of various needs that
involves major task and development opportunities that involves the goal settings. In
order to survive in a competitive business environment and to fit in particular job role
it is important for me to build my professional skills that basically includes the
learning and practice of the academic skills that will help in building professional
capabilities into behavior and personal attitude. The professional skills are highly
depended upon the individual contribution and individual attention. With the help of
standardization and high quality it becomes easy to develop communication abilities
within the business fields and also helps in developing professional skills in the
communication fields. Through the help of self evaluation I could easily analyze the
various skills which will help me in utilization of the resources and motivating the
staff(Medina and Kitaeva, 2020).
