INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional development is process in which individual and organisation are
engaged in learning so that challenges can be met and achieve goals. This is associated with
needs of development which helps in identifying and evaluating important personal and
professional skills, those play important role in career development. The skills are related to
professional aspect which also helps in self – development (Hildebrand, 2016). National trust is
charitable company which was established in 1895 with the main aim of preserving historical
and natural sites f region. This trust is involve in restoring and preserving coastline, beaches,
gardens, historic remains, archaeological places, etc. In 2017-2018 around 61,000 candidates
looked after special places and more than 500 million volunteers are there in the trust who are
putting efforts to achieve organisational objectives. In this project self-managed learning will be
understand so that development can be enhanced. This can also be done so that responsibility for
personal and professional development for individual can be taken. Professional development
plan will be implemented so that so that continuous evaluation can be done activities can be
undertake for future development of skills in which personnel is lacking. At last, this will include
demonstration of inter - personal and transferable acquired skills so that evaluation can be done
of different strategies.

1.1 Evaluate self - managed learnings approaches
Self-managed learning can be define as process by which individuals identify different
ways of learning new skills and things for future career development goals. There are different
approaches by which personnel can manage self - learning, some of them are as follows:
Seminars and conferences: There are personnel who comes up in public platforms and educate
others on specific knowledge and skills. This will help individual to learn new skills from
expertise personnel who has relative experience in the same field (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and
Turunen, 2016). This also help in public speaking skills which is required in Membership and

There are some skills which needs to be developed by me so that I can work effectively

3.1 Activities and processes to implement development plan
There are different processes and activities which are required to effectively implement
the personal and professional development plan for Membership and Visitors Welcome Manager
