INTRODUCTION
Professional development refers to the process which is responsible for documenting and
tracking the knowledge, skills and experiences of an individual. These can be used to enhance
and improve the work practises of an individual which can develop their career in appropriate
manner. It ensures that the experiences and knowledge of individual should continuously update
according to the requirements of the job practises (An, 2018). This report will include the
creation of new restaurant which is named as grill and chill. It will further include the reflective
log of all 12 weeks which majorly focus on the learning experiences and accomplishments. All
the skills and attributes were discussed in this report and their practical application or also
described. An action plan is developed which includes future actions and improvements of
current knowledge.
MAIN BODY
Reflective log over 12 weeks
Week 1
In the first week, I have learned how to communicate with others so that knowledge,
ideas and thoughts can be shared in appropriate manner. The communication plays important
role in carrying out smooth operations at workplace. We have arranged seminars and conferences
in which I got opportunities to interact with number of individuals.
Week 2
I have learned how to use various available resources in appropriate manner so that
effective utilisation can be maintained. We use to plan all the operations effectively so that it can
eliminate wastage of various resources like time, efforts and cost (Jones, 2021).
Week 3
In this week, I have analysed the importance of technical skill at work place. Different
online courses and assistance of professionals helped me in enhancing my technical skills. It will
effectively improve the performance which is required for the accomplishment of goals.
Week 4
I have focused on my decision making skills in this week by involving myself into
different group activities so that I get opportunity for taking decisions. It improves the

productivity and reduce chances of errors and mistakes. By taking appropriate decisions I have
taken necessary steps towards achievement of objectives.
Week 5
It is required to solve problems at work place so that operations can be carried out in
smooth manner without any difficulties. I have inherited problem-solving abilities during this
week so that I can resolve conflicts and misunderstandings in required manner. With the help of
this ability, I can effectively accomplish objectives which are mandatory for the growth.
Week 6
Leading teams at work place provides better opportunity for maintaining positive work
environment. I used to guide and support all the team members so that they can carry out
operations in particular direction. Effective leadership skills are learned this week which results
in achievement of number of opportunities (Koner and Eros, 2019).
Week 7
In this week, I have learnt how to do multitasking so that resources like time can be
effectively managed. Time management skill is highly required in order to maintain the
productivity without any failure. I used to formulate schedules for each and every activity
according to their deadlines, which provides positive outcomes.
Week 8
Different presentation skills are acquired during this week. It assists me in evaluating
factors which are required for presenting ideas and thoughts among different individuals. I have
used visuals and audios in order to present ideas so that every individual can understand them in
better manner.
Week 9
Working in teams and groups provide various attractive opportunities which are essential
for better development of an organisation. I have learnt how to coordinate among different
members while working in group so that goals can be achieve that in desired manner.
Week 10
During this week, I have learned how to become creative so that new ideas can be
implemented in operations. Creativity attracts large number of customers in appropriate manner
without involving number of resources (Makovec, 2018).

Managing number of operations in an appropriate manner is highly required for
accomplishment of targets. I used to manage all the related activities during this week so that I

various queries which improved my critical thinking skills. With the help of this skill, I can

The project focus on creation of new fast food restaurant which is Grill and Chill. In order to
attract large number of audiences, it is important to involve creativity and innovation in the
restaurant so that it creates differentiation in the respective industry. Initially, they have planned
their menu with limited cuisine so that they can maintain appropriate standard by focusing on the
demanded food items (Sancar, Atal and Deryakulu, 2021). People easily get attracted towards
fast food chain which are very creative and innovative. In order to achieve the goals during
working in fast food restaurant, it is important to inherit some of the required skills and attributes
accordingly. The learning experiences provided knowledge about how to carry out operations by
maintaining positivity in the working environment. Different skills like communication skills,
problem-solving, decision-making, technical skills, leadership skills and problem-solving skills
are effectively inherited. These skills and knowledge as can be applied during operations by
focusing on their requirements so that overall restaurant can achieve growth and success. Proper
planning should be carried out so that each and every activity can be organised in appropriate
manner, which element needs mistakes and duplications.
The attributes provide accurate knowledge about the demands and requirements of
customers. It provides opportunity to analyse and identify the market of fast food industry so that
food products can be prepared according to that. Proper hiring and staffing of each and every
candidate should be carried out so that quality of offerings can be maintained in effective
manner. It is evaluated that some of the operations include challenges due to their complexity. It
becomes a barrier for overall organisation in establishing their brand image which should be
focused by the team (Villella and et.al., 2018). The overall experience was highly profitable for
learning different aspects of an organisation. The goals and object of which are mentioned in

attributes. Grill and chill increased their sales by 15% in one year with the help of involvement
of each and every individual in positive manner. The use of resources is very potential which
help restaurant in maintaining their financial budget and position.
