INTRODUCTION
Personal and professional developments refers to improvement in the sets of skills which
are required to gain effective position at workplace for maintaining good and effective relations
(Holland and Leslie, 2017). This includes the skills of behaviour, social competencies of peoples.
The present study is based on “British airways” which is established by British government at

An introduction and overview of British airways.
A British airway is the flag and carrier airlines of UK. It is the second largest airline
company of UK. It was created in 1974 after a British airways board established by the
government of British. This includes the two smaller regional airlines. The manager was
completion of a consolidation process started. Its plc is Transport Company formed in April. For
the company it is important to sets a possibly visionary statement concerning the future. A
mission and vision is looking for new opportunities and new ways of building values of
customers, dealing with problems and sets progress of company (Hsieh, 2015).
As per that, British airways sets mission, vision. A vision of company is to progress,
values and standard of behaviour and performance. A mission of company is aim to set new
industry standard by providing better customers services and innovation. Strategic direction and
purpose of business is need to owner or strategic leaders. Its strategy is to focus on outstanding
customers services, rising meetings. They want to provide the best and better customers services
to them by innovating new product and services.
An investigate skills and competencies expected by employer for specific roles
At the time of job employers are expect some skills and competencies in their employees
for perform best job with good result of work. The job role is HR executive which is best and

manner. I have strength is communication skills in written skills but I not have verbal
communication in effective way. Written communication skills is best but not for all time

great interview experience of my life (Webb, 2017). At the beginning of interview I thought how
can managed all this thinks and also what replied of question but when I meet with the
interviewee then all has normal. I thought aptitude test is very difficult but after learning it was
great. Staff members were also good and great. Interviewee is helpful and very knowledgeable
person. At the end of interview I talk with them in general way. It was the great and most
important experience of life.

From the above study, it has been concluded that the professional skills development has
continue process that helped to gain the advantage to peoples and for desired position. Report
had been cover by introduction and overview of company and skills which expected by
employers. Report has cover by the self managed learning and lifelong learning approaches and
activities. That had been used for maintain the effectiveness at company. It has evaluated by own
abilities, skills and competences for job roles by using self evaluation model. With the helped of
this get ideas for our strength, weakness, threats and opportunities for work. Development plan
has helped to improve weakness with the help of done some activities like practice of work and
talking with staff members. Report has been cover by job description of Hr executive and some
