Some of the professional organizations in Sydney include the Institute of Industrial Engineers,
Professional engineers Australia, Materials Australia, Mechanical Engineering Society,
Engineers Australia, Australian Cost Engineering society, and Transport society Australia. Most
of the bodies do not have upcoming events except Engineers Australia which have organized
several forthcoming conferences. The idea is to identify conferences with topics in fields which I
am interested in then register to participate. Once at the meeting, I can meet and interact with
engineers.

Through engaging in the Peer Feedback Activity, I enhanced my knowledge and improved my
work. I will respond by making comments on what I have learned, and ask suggestion on how
best I can improve. Developing people's work is advantageous since I learn what others know
and I do not know. The other advantage is that it helps me to check if I am on the right track.

This subject is interesting. The best thing about it is the aspect of studying and relating to the

physical objects which need not be explained using words. Where learning involves physical
objects, I will be taking photographs and saving them.
Professional engineers can use reflecting listening skills more with their clients. The advantages
of reflecting listening are that it makes it easier to understand each other, and also help the other
person to clarify the thoughts. Further, it minimizes misunderstanding between the people
conversing.
Most of what has happened in the recent past regarding my field is a technological shift in the
way things are done. There is also an emphasis on sustainability. There is a requirement to offer
engineering solutions such as minimizing wastes and saving energy. There are also calls for the
adoption of clean energy. There is also the emergence of new engineering materials.

While going past the journal articles about oversights in the engineering consulting firms, I have
recognized that an impact on workplace learning is somewhat influenced with guidance from an
executive employee. However, an employee can also be ahead of a superior executive. This can
only be achieved when the experience of an employee is much more than that of the person

Right after two weeks of the going through the studies about internships, employees and other

During the completion of my study, I found that every organization comes with a supervision
policy that maintains a hierarchical level. This is my observation. For every placement, there is
an immediate executive person appointed to monitor the interns, and the same happens with the
other employees of the organization.

over the internet. I believe that in a workplace, overall workplace learning it is expected that a
supervisor good take part actively within an appointed project and would facilitate other people

influencing than the role of a supervisor stating the fact that states that the ideal place of a
supervisor is imaginary and there is no real-world application of the particular idea. With this, I
gained insight into the experience of an employee and the position that the employee is currently
enjoying. There are various decisions taken within the organization that I have seen to be
collectively e difficult for even the supervisory bodies. Some of the experienced employees do
not face difficulty in making possible decisions against these issues, which provided the idea
behind analyzing the relationship between experience and supervisory position as well as the
impact of supervisory position on the organization.
For this particular finding, I received feedback that my I research process was evident; however,
it required a primary data collection process by actually getting an internship with a company. To
this, I responded, and I would like to add that I would be happy to be a part of any organization
as an intern for gathering more research regarding this. While providing my classmates feedback
on the same analysis, I feel that this should give me a proper framework of analyzing the work of

5D: Inclusivity and diversity in engineering workplaces
According to my personal experience and my learning outcomes from the journals that I have
gone through, I can easily say that safety and important hazardous situations within an
organization should always be informed to an employee right at the point of the starting of their
tenure. If I were not provided with a safety induction in my job in future, I would inform that to
the executive management body. I would make them understand that they need to acknowledge
the importance of making an employee aware of the health and safety hazards within an
organization. I would make sure that none of the employees further are missed out on presenting
with a safety and hazard induction in their job within the organization.
The occupational health and safety regulations that I would like to ensure within an organization
is the enhancement of the mental health and office safety. The law regarding mental health in
OSH states that the psychological component of an employee is significant and it should be
treated equally as the physical environment. This is to make sure that the mental health of an
employee in a workplace is considered as an overall wellbeing of the employee in an
organization. It is obligated that the mental and physical health of the employees are protected
within an organization by an executive.
6D: Making choices in complex, demanding situations
I have also understood from my readings of the journals that behind every decision making plan,
there is an ethical consideration behind all the conditions arising. There are several methods for

making a particular decision, but every other decision taken needs to be analyzed about their
moral concerns and their impact on the other employees in the industries.
During my learning process for the articles been provided, I faced an ethical dilemma situation
where I have found that an executive had been making in an unethical decision that was
identified by me, but I could not point out due to my position as an intern with the organization.
For this particular ethical dilemma, I can apply three different ethical theories to justify my
actions in the moral dilemma situation.
I need to recognize an ethical issue.
I need to find out what impact it has on the people around or employees in the workplace.
I would evaluate the alternative actions so that the situation does not hurt the people all
the employees in an organization.
After doing so, I even took into account all these alternative activities for analyzing the ethical
dilemma situation I was in, and I could understand how severe this situation was. In addition to
that, the dilemma has also been able to be eradicated because of the ethical consideration model
that I have followed. This makes me emerge as a better observant of any decision taken during
my tenure within the organization while adhering to the mortality behind taking that particular
decision. I have understood that in order to make sure that a supervisor, or even an employee, or
an intern is making the correct decision; the ways by which an alternative solution can be
formulated from the entire situation and how these alternative solutions can be implemented to
find out the effect on the organization as a whole. This should be based on the understanding of
the impact of that particular decision on the organization.
