Gibbs model of reflection is given by Graham Gibbs in the year 1988. This reflection cycle
provides a structure to describe learning experience of a situation. This cycle includes
description, feeling, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan (Davies, Curtin and Robson,
2017). Each stage provide opportunity to define situation occur while explaining leaning
experience. This cycle includes various question and their answer helps a person in describing of
situation. This describe where things go well and where planning play important role in make
things right. There are various stages of this model which helps me to describe my learning
experience which are as follows:
Description
To improve my personal as well as professional skills ad also to enhance my learning and
knowledge, I have joined University to continue my education. For improvement of
employability skills, I have attended classes regularly and also complete assignment on time.
There are various activities conducted in university which is important for development of skills
and knowledge of a person (Howard and Eddy‐Imishue, 2020). These activities include power
point presentation which is conducted by teacher to improve our skills. One of my teacher assign
group presentation to me and my friends. For this presentation, teacher make different group of
students. In my group, there are five members who has different knowledge and different
attitude. For this assignment, I have decided to divide our work as per our interest. This will also
help to complete our assignment on time and with effectiveness. We have decided to divide work
as per specialisation of skills and knowledge. As I have good subject knowledge so I decided to
write content with one of my friends as who also has good knowledge. One of our friends know
how to prepare presentation so we gave that work to him and tow members has excellent
communication skills so they have decided to give presentation. Me and my friend who were
decided to writer content for presentation has take helps from teacher This will boost our subject
knowledge. We also take helps from various books of library and other online sources. Also, we
have attended all lecture of university related to that module which helps us to improve our
subject knowledge. Me and y friend has decided to writer content but we have not clear that
which part we are going to writer. So, we both have write on same things (Williams, Rathert and

Feeling
Before joining university to improve my employability skills and study skills, I was feeling
excited as I have to learn something new. This is truly a new experience for me as it provides me
opportunity to interact with new people and teachers. While teacher gave me assignment, I was
feeling nervous as I do not know how this ca be complete as people of my group are of different
attitude. When we have prepared PPT and also at the time we were presenting or presentation, I
was excited as its is firs time one I have given presentation. But at same time feeling nervous as
we do not know how teacher will respond to this presentation (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and
Turunen, 2016). During process of preparation of assignment, I got frustrated as there is conflict
occur in my team. I don’t understand how to solve this situation and also there is pressure to
complete assignment on time. There is also a problem occur related to me and my friend as we
both have write on same topic. At time of conflict in team, I got angry on team members and tell
them to complete their work on time. Later I feel guilty for this but it helps me to complete our
assignment on time. But in the end, I am feeling satisfied as we have completed our presentation
on time and teacher like our work.
Evaluation
My complete experience in University is good as I have made many friends there and also build
network of connection which helps me to identify good employment opportunity. My experience
of developing various employment and study skills was also good as I have complete various
assignment which helps me to develop these skills (Makovec, 2018). My assignment of
presentation worked ell as we have put efforts to complete it successfully. It was complete on
time and teacher appreciate us for our hard work. Bad thing about this assignment is that there is
conflict occur in my team and I was not able to handle it effectively and got any on all members
of team. There is also a miscommunication conduct in our team dues to writing of content which
waste our efforts and time. In last, we all cooperate with each other that work well for our
assignment. Problem occur in completion of assignment as we did not communicate well with
each other. All people put their efforts in completion of this assignment which make this
presentation effective.
